I don't know- it seems like many of our friends on the right are the ones with the fixation on Zimmerman. He's practically adulated by one or two- I won't mention any names.

Danny- My problem is with those who view Zimmerman as some kind of a hero or icon. You know as well as I do that the guy will most likely end up in prison sooner or later, probably after yet another domestic violence and/or firearms incident.

I would not bet against such an eventuality.
But then again I will also not hold it against him in anticipation of him doing so. Much like the law does not allow for an anticipatory breach of contract. I think this is where it gets so muddy. Many want to act as if he already has done these things.

It is positively amazing how some here say that people cannot change but they only say it when it fits their agenda.. By that I mean they are the same people who claim that prisons should rehabilitate rather than keep criminals off the streets. Guess it depends on their agenda at the time as to which which philosophy they adhere too.
I am only stating this because George Zimmerman was found innocent of a crime and they feel he will do bad things. However these same people feel career criminals will go straight. I guess there is some justification for their reasoning...I just cannot find it. To be perfectly honest, I have no idea how George Zimmerman will turn out. But until he commits a crime. Let the poor guy go. But do keep the career criminals in prison. They have already committed crimes against society several times. Why is this so hard to understand?

It's a prediction based solely on his past record of threats and domestic violence.

Does not seem very impartial on your part. Sounds like you have your mind made up no matter the facts. As you so often say, "Don't let the facts get in the way". He did protect himself from Martin, in which the courts found he did nothing illegal? So why don't you like him? Give him a chance. George Zimmerman's life matters. You would not be allowed to serve on a jury for Zimmerman as you are biased. As I stated earlier. I do not know what the future holds for Zimmerman, but give him the chance he deserves as an American.
