Love this- I continued to watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAYP6pWrdkc explaining why it happens, really interesting to see. Scientific thinking is so underrated when creating new effects!

Wondering if the compressor nostril could be mounted in a toolbox and the sound covered by music? Then it might be something?

I have done this in my science is magic show. but with a beach ball. I think I will play with it and see if I can get hide the noise.

Abbott's sold this, many years ago. It used a balloon and a hair dryer, if I remember correctly. A wooden "profile" of a rabbit, was used on a table top to hide the blower.
This "principle" has been used in store window "displays".
