Jack Straw from Wichita, cut his buddy down
And dug for him a shallow grave, and laid his body down
Half a mile from Tucson, by the morning light
One man gone and another to go, my old buddy you're moving much too slow

I wish my pennies had the typical tails side we're used to seeing on pennies. My set had an alternate tails side that is not as common.

Other than that, trick is great.

Those tails will probably be the norm for the next 44 years.

50 years for the Wheat backs, 50 years for the Lincoln Memorial backs, and we're now into the 6th year for these Shield backs.

Unless, of course, we go to Hillary on the face and Chappaqua on the back!

Can this be done with UK coins or Euros? I want to buy this effect but it seems like it is only marketed for the US penny

I can produce in any coins but the cost goes up. Need to do a lot of experiments.
For the time being I am producing only in US cents. I am very happy to announce that we sold the first lot of 10 thousand coins. Next lot of 140 sets of coins are ready to despatch. Thanks to every one who purchased the BREAK and appreciated my efforts and encouraged me.

The problem is that because the shield pennies are so new you almost never see any old tarnished ones at this point. They are always bright and shiny and new looking.
But since these are darkened to look old they do look very strange to me. I realize I am probably just picking nits here, but why not make them in the older style so there's no discrepancy?
Maybe they can only be made from shield pennies as it would seem difficult to obtain10,000 pennies and they all be shields unless you specifically tried to.
Maybe they are not all shields but that is all I have seen anywhere so far.

Videoman, I agree with you 100%.

That's why I had to clean mine up.

But I still like this a lot!

I'm definitely going to be using this for a long time, and I'm going to get refills for sure.

How do you clean it? Don't you see any work on the coin after you clean it?

Yes, bending a coin is a much stronger effect than simply breaking a coin into two . . . but at times most of us do need something new to play with. Smile

Ha...how on earth do you justify that remark?

I agree with his statement actually. Bending seems, to me anyway, more realistic of an effect than just snapping it. I look at it as how real metal would behave. If tremendous pressure were put onto metal it would bend first not just snap.

It is kind of like using thread work. Move something a little and it feels real. Float something, then everyone is looking for the string.

This is by far one of my favorite effects to perform. This is an ultra visual effect that can blow spectators away. I'll probably keep a couple of these gimmicks in my pocket wherever I go if I need some quick, easy to do, powerful magic. Instruction and quality is top notch!

This effect is amazing! Very impressed. It's so easy that you can really concentrate on your performance. And unlike all other coin bending effects, you are left clean without switches, ditches, or palming. Finally a coin bending method I WILL be using.

The video is about 20 minutes in length and goes through a couple of performance options. The coins are real with slight modifications which make the Break actually work and you receive 25 of them in the nicely packaged box. Before I watched the video I could not figure out how to Break the coin. I highly doubt anyone spectating you would be able to break it by themselves. Unlike some other effects on theory11 (looking at you, Circuit), this one doesn't require much practice to achieve the Break effect. All you have to do is SELL it with your performance/story. 5 out of 5!

I practiced Break twice, picked my performance style (the knowledge of a rare technique), and then performed the signed version to 15+ people for a massive return. The combo of noise and falling dust allows this to work in both quiet and loud settings from any possible angle. This is the rare type of effect that has zero structural flaws; your focus can start on the presentation layer.

Super visual - nothing to add or remove. Super easy to do. Killer presentation.

Awesome

but perhaps the title on theory 11 website is misleadin?

it says:
The CLEANEST and most VISUAL coin bend on the market.

where do you see a coin bend?

Perhaps when the coin is halfway into breaking , the coin is broken in the middle a bit but not completely broken , so to the spectators it might look like it's " bending " first before breaking completely Smile

I love Break!

To me this is what real magic looks like. A "borrowed" item is impossibly broken into thirds and everything is kept by the spectator! How much better can it get? I was really lucky to get my hands on Break before it was released and over that couple of months I got to perform it for lay people, clients, and celebrities. The reactions from everyone were killer!

Yes, the downfall of the effect is the price of refills but if you look at the amount of work that Uday has done with Break, it really is incredible!
