So, I'm not an escapologist, but a non-magician I know just shared a link to this product, and my first thought was: "I bet some escapologists would like this, too!" It's a tiny handcuff key that hides very well in plain sight. Take a look, and if you guys can find a use for it, go for it! http://tihk.co/

I like that.
I recently picked up a shoelace with a key built into the end. |

Some advice: I started a purchase, got half-way through checkout, then thought about it and decided to put it off. I closed the window without completing the order. A few hours later, I got an email saying they'd saved my cart and offered a 10% off coupon code to complete the purchase. Just sayin'.

And check this out: Once I placed my order, I got this link to share with friends, so you all can get 10% off your order automatically. Boom. http://tihk.refr.cc/R3Z2B3Q (And if three of you place orders, I get a free 3-pack!)
PS - The email says the discount ends 11 Aug, 2015. You have been forewarned. |

If you're charging 12 for 2 (on a 3 dollar item) It's easy to give a 10 percent discount.
These and a dozen other versions have been available "a while ".

Well, I don't know that going by price is always the right choice. They key James is speaking of looks great on several levels, but 10 GBP is about $15. The THK key also looks nice, for different reasons. IF you are in need of a key like that for stage use, go with the one that fits your need.

Thhk is asking 3 dollars for shipping so that makes it 7.50 per key
Here's an Ebay key that works just fine http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Covert-Discr......fbc9bb68 I've seen these sell for 2.00 so with shipping, that makes it about 4 dollars. Wait... here's 2 keys for 7.46 WITH FREE SHIPPING http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Hidden-Plastic......4406e41c THAT'S 3.43 PER KEY. The OP didn't say he was doing a stage act http://lelando.com/ He looks like an accomplished magician and graphics artist but I don't see no escapes. - - - My post was concerning two points A. There are less expensive keys out there. B That some people are taken-in with discounts on items that are priced slightly higher to begin with.

I've had a few of these at one point and actually used it once when I got myself in a bind. The plus is that it worked out fairly well and is indeed easily hidden. However, the plastic that it's made of tends to lose it's 'springiness' and it will eventually let go of wherever it's clipped, resulting in loss. The other minus is that the materials from which it is made is fairly pliable, and (while I haven't had the problem) there have been some reports of it breaking during use.
Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.
