Yes, true love!
For those who wants to approach his work "on budget", he has a free pdf with a short story called "Nethescurial"
But I really recomends all of his works.

One of the greatest wordsmiths I have ever encountered. If you can find it, he wrote a prose poem called "I Have a Special Plan for This World" that was performed by the band Current 93. It is a narration of the poem over creepy soundscapes. One of Ligotti's finest works imho.

Great collaboration, Lucien!
It was thank to the Current 93 collaborations that I became aware of the existence of Ligotti.
He made two, "I have a special plan" and "In a foreign land in a foreign town".

I love Current 93 work, very magickal. Is full of interesting literature/religious/magickal references, a little world to investigate. Highly recomended, keeping in mind that is not a "band" in a classical way. I like very much David Tibet's painting too.

Ligotti is of the greats of the nuveau weird, if not the great.

I agree. He is among the greatest of the new weird. Perhaps the greatest. (I always think the best is yet to come) Like Poe, he has the tinge of madness about him. (I say that with the highest respect & regard) His is a singular talent, possessed of an utterly unique voice. Confusion to his enemies! And may he live long in vibrant health & creative function!
