I've noticed that some 260q's are much easier to handle than others. For instance the citrine yellow (the translucent ones) are much more likely to pop than the mocha brown. It's like night and day. Actually I think most of the translucent balloons pop more easily.
Has anyone else noticed this? |

They run in cycles for me. I think it might just be a batch that's not up to snuff.

Aha, I was afraid of that. Too bad it's not more consistent.

R2D2, if you're talking about jewel tones, yes, they're supposed to be much more fragile and not really suitable for a lot of twisting. (I remember a Christopher Lyle post from a few years ago: "jewel tones suck.")

Every few months we should be forced to use Ashland balloons just to remind us how blessed we are.

Aha it is a jewel tone! Thanks so much for that! And this consistent with trouble I've had with another color that also happens to be a jewel tone.
Plink, thanks for the reply as well. I'm new to all this so I didn't realize hat other brands were so much worse. This forum has been very helpful. Thanks for all the replies. |

I've always found Orange to be the tightest of the main colors on Qualatex.

Black was always a problem for me. They seemed to get stale a lot faster than other colors. (Okay, so black isn't really a color.). I attribute it to the type of dye used to produce them.

The solution is to switch to Sempterex, which are more consistent. And stronger.

Isn't Sempertex the same company as Betallatex?
