I'm learning a couple of tricks that require a card be folded as part of the setup. I'm finding that when I fold the card (using Riderbacks) the top layer of paper splits.
Does anyone have a method that avoids the splitting, when folding a crease completely flat? Thx if you can help. |

Take a razor blade (in a safety handle) and lightly score where you are going to fold the card.

If you are going to be doing loads of mercury card folds Jon Allen does a gimmick/tool called perfect score. Does what Jim was saying but very easily

This is an interesting question. I don't think I have ever had a card do that when folding it. Is it possible that you are using old cards that have somehow become brittle? Since you're using Bikes the quality isn't the problem. I'm puzzled!
