Hello again everyone,
I feel kind of like to some I'm a Paul Revere and to other's I'm the village idiot anymore, but I wanted to again announce another very anticipated release by a beloved friend as well as one of my favorite mentors. I'm sure there is no surprise about who that it, but what should surprise you is that he is back in the saddle again and creating a quality hardbound book chock full of purely verbal mysticism. So what do you get? Above all else you get a labor of love, Fraser started working on this months ago and it is still months out from being released, none of that "wrote it in a weekend" BS and it's all true tested material...I know because I am one of one's that has been testing it. So some of the line up direct from the copy includes: "The effects in this book include a way for the spectator to guess your pin code. This is completely prop less and uses words and perception only, as the method. Get the spectator to guess the name you are thinking of, again completely prop less, with nothing written, no billets, centre tears or peeks. Guess the name or word the spectator is thinking of billet less. No longer any need for the spectator to name multiple letters. They give you a few characteristics or traits of the person they are thinking of, you give them a reading for this person and then are able to instantly tell them this person's name. Mental card force including a TOD presentation. No need for a deck of cards. More effects and principles as well as Essays on the performance of close up prop less, Mentalism." So then, as for my thoughts on the work that I've been testing alongside Fraser... The brand brand new take on the propless name revelation that is so clever that it is scary! No need to name letters anymore and this one is EASY and EFFECTIVE, plus it's centered around a reading, which I really feel is the real meat of any mentalism performance. The spectator as a mind reader PIN guess that I perform quite ofter AND it can be effectively used to set up a cooperative vibe between you and your participant (you'll figure out what I mean when you read it). I have found many uses for this that I won't talk about at the moment, but some of which I am sure Fraser will talk about in the book. The Mental Card Force is his take on a Ross Tayler idea, which is based on Fraser's work from TM. I personally loved the release in it's original form, Fraser has permission from both Ross as well as another creator, who had a similar idea, to release his work on it. I love the streamlined nature of Fraser's take on it and a while back it saved my @ss at a speaker competition I was at, where I was asked to perform on the spot with literally nothing on me for a whole room...I had the MC pick a person and I used this on them, everyone was stunned and one of the big guys in the group checked my pad that had the revelation for tricks! As for the rest...I will see it once I have my copy and you will see a couple little ideas from me in there as well that I hope you all enjoy... Bottom line... If you are looking for propless work that WORKS and doesn't rely on mathematical this or that's or dual reality or blah blah blah...this is for you. Do yourself a big favor and avoid disappointment by preordaining your copy today as they are LIMITED TO 200 COPIES to be released on the 12th of September 2015. Here is the link and feel free to ask any questions, I will gladly answer what I can and I know Fraser will too. XX, -Jakob http://fraserparker.co.uk/false%20messiah.htm |

Hi everyone,
This work mainly centres on an expansion of the main principle taught in Ouija. I have taken the main concept behind this to even greater heights, allowing for its use in a much broader application. There is now no longer any need for multiple letters to be named when guessing a name billet lessly. This is just one possible use for this updated way of applying the principle. The pin guess has similarities to the one taught in When in Rome. However, the main difference is how the underlying principle in False Messiah is used to achieve a solid outcome of effect. This again is just one use for the principle. It really does open up infinite possibilities for prop less Menatlism, in terms of the effects now possible. There is even a way for the Spectator to guess the name you are thinking of, taught in these pages. Naturally, I am standing on the shoulders of my peers whilst trying to continue to push the boundaries of what we once thought was impossible, so there will be some similarities and borrowed principles applied alongside my own. I feel this is how it has to be, otherwise the end results would not be the best they can be. I am fortunate to have these peers as friends, who allow me to share some of their work with my own. Without Pete and Michael I don’t know where I would be in my thinking. I certainly wouldn’t have created what I consider to be my best work. I hope this clears up any confusion and helps answer your questions. The effects are similar. I have used poular ploys to teach the use of this break through approach to prop less performance. What is more important is the sharing of the principles, nuances and structure of each effect and the possibility this thinking opens for us, in the future. I genuinely think this will add to what you already know, even if you already have the other work, you mention. Fraser. |
