I don't know if any of you have heard of U.F.C. but it stands for Ultimate Float Controller. I'll give you the effect: U.F.C. The electronic Ultimate Float Controller!
Sweden's magic brainchild, Stefan Schutze, was the first inventor to produce a fully electronic, body-operated float controller. Five years was spent in its development. It is simply the best! With the tiniest of body movements, less than one inch, the U.F.C. can be switched on or off. There are no buttons to push! This is the most innovative and versatile device on the market today. Float paper balls or currency! Make a small silk fly from a spectator's hand to yours! Cause the "spirits" to animate borrowed objects. Levitate nearly any small object like silks, rope, finger rings, sponge balls and more. The U.F.C. is very small. It will fit in your breast pocket. Your hands are empty at all times! Perfect thread tension to avoid breakage Walk up to 75 feet away from the floating object, with no slack! Michael Ammar says, "Once mastered, you can perform effects with U.F.C. that are not possible with any other gimmick ever made. Close-up and surrounded...you can perform incredible levitations and animations that look like real magic!" Now I know you guys can't say a lot on how its done but if someone knows anything about this trick could you PM me and tell me a little about it. Like does it take slight of hand? What is on you or what and where can it be done? I'm in a wheelchair so I'm looking for something like this to make things float and so on. Any help anyone can provide me on information concerning this effect please PM me. Thank you....

I was one of the first in sweden to have this U.F.C. (I have number 23, I think), Stefan Schützer( http://www.magispecialisten.com ) is a friend to me, lives pretty close to my area. It was the year 1988 I received this T.U.F.C., ít took me several years before I got the right feeling for this thing. Working with invisible thread demands that you have full controll of light, settings and body movements. After years of experiment I have found that floating effects have a very big impact on people.
My advice is if you want to perform magic with invisible thread, make sure you have the correct lighting plus act as you dont have a thread when you do floatings. The hardest thing about invisible thread is that they are "invisible" sometimes its very hard to see the thread. I have nothing negative to say about this TUFC, yes one thing, it makes the other ITR looking like garbage. You can also do practical jokes with this TUFC; Put a bill attached to the TUFC on the floor, wait till someone reach for the bill. Make the bill float to your hands. Very funny. Why did you put this post into this CARD forum? Hmmm. |

hello Skitch,
thank you for introducing me to the U.F.C. I shall research this item...as I own an ITR this seems like the next generation. How easy is it to re-load, does it take Kavlar thread? I shall get back to you - your friend across the pond - geoff in the uk |

How much does it cost? Also be careful about walking 75 feet away as people will grab stuff. Is it electronic? Also, can I use realistic movements, or is it like itrs which are less independent than thread? Thnx for info.

Very easy to change thread or re-load it if the thread breaks. You can use almost any kind of thread in this "machine", thats thin and flexible. I bought Kevlar thread in a Fishing Shop, for only 5 dollar. Yes T.U.F.C. is electronic. I paid 75 dollar incl. lot of thread, I think I have for a whole lifetime.
You can find this amazing Ultimate Float Controller here, sells for 99 dollar: http://www.magiceffex.com/ (Click on StandUp/Stage) TOP MAGICIANS ABOUT UFC: Norm Nielsen: “I strongly recommend U. F. C.! It looks excellent and it is very well made. I am anxious to see them on the market, because I think there is a need for it. Something that is well made, so very few things are. I wish you a lot of success with this and I think you're going to have it!” David Williamson: “UFC is the best thread gimmick I’ve ever seen. The workmanship is first class and the design is ingenious!” Michael Ammar: “Once mastered, you can perform effects with U. F. C. that are impossible with any other gimmick ever made. Close up and at times surrounded as you are, you can perform incredible levitations and animations that look like real magic!” Finn Jon: “I've just seen the best float controller on Earth.” Mike Caveny: “I tip my shoulder to this remarkable gimmick!” Rudi Coby: “I can't say enough about this! It's like having Finn Jon in your pocket !!! Incredible!” Max Maven: “It's pleasing to see such a charming technical development. There's genuine potential here.” Rocco: “I think it’s a cool thing! I think it’s great... this is like real magic power!” |

I can't find the UFC at any dealer that sells to the average customer! Instead, I bought the E.S.R. (Electronic Slow-winding Reel). I like it. May be a bit awkward to use at first, but hands-free is a definite plus. But even more expensive, per single unit. But it comes with a few additional capabilities/routines, and 2 types of thread depending on the effect.
Does anybody have this to compare to the UFC? Can having the two UFC's really flake out an audience by having something move one way, then the other, as they suggest? What are some wild stage routines? I was just working on trying to hang a loop of IT from a ceiling, thread the ESR thread through the loop and attach it to something and raise it up above my head like that ... it looked good, but I had problems keeping the line away from my body. Does the UFC go fast/slow? I'm curious about the switch ... ESR is like the Fism Flash under the arm. How's the UFC? |
