This trick is worth the price (especially as Penguin has it as a coolbox for $9.95 right now) with a couple of caveats. As you might expect, the video for the demo was edited to cover one step to make it more difficult for anyone to figure out the method. I will say that there is nothing suspicious to the spectator in that step, especially if your patter is any good. And there is no special setup required. But...I did mention a couple of caveats.

First, he suggests using a particular size of post-it note. From my experiments with different sizes, I believe this is a requirement. I recommend trying different ones yourself but suspect the majority will settle on the same size.

Second is the ballpoint pen:I had to try 3 before finding one that worked reliably. The first did not work at all. The second one worked somewhat, sometimes. The third is better, but I will be looking to pick up a different one. I suspect an inexpensive medium point will work best. If you download this I am sure you will understand.

Will I use this? Absolutely. Will I drop all of my other methods? Absolutely not. It is a good tool, but there is no perfect one. I have several homemade ones I will continue to use. And I really like my parapad. I am also patiently waiting for my para-wallet. This is a good method that the spectators will probably not suspect and I definitely recommend it.
