Any ideas for patter for the Bamboo Chest and Glass ? I love this little illusion but don't know a good presentation for it.

I remember the name from years ago in magic catalogs , but have never owned it or seen it performed .

Could you remind me : What exactly is the effect ? Did the original instructions have any suggestions for how to present it ?

Is there any particular reason the chest needs to be "bamboo" ? I ask because being able to re-theme the decoration to something else would open up more possibilities for presentation. Start looking at the box ... decide: what is it ? (or what could it be ?) How could it be decorated other than as a bamboo box ? Dig in to "The Trick Brain" and "Showmanship for Magicians" by Dariel Fitzkee and "Magic & Showmanship" by Henning Nelms to get the old creative juices flowing.
