Dreamweaver by Enchantment
---------------oOo----------------- Effect/Description: Dreamweaver is a linking and unlinking integration of 3 separate principles of deception executed with the greatest of ease. Utilizing objects as simple and ordinary as safety pins, your audience will experience one of the most fair, straightforward, and convincing joining of two objects in magic. This is not a trick--this is a professional 9-phase routine that builds in each sequence, ending with a complete examination of each pin! Spectators may examine all they want, they will never find a thing. What's more, you'll also learn additional and alternative sequences to correlate with the original routine to further demonstrate your abilities. Your audience will witness magic in its purest just inches from their awing eyes. The pins link and unlink in slow motion, in mid-air, even within the spectator's very own hand! But here's the best part, with Dreamweaver you'll ALWAYS be ready to perform. Whenever someone requests that you "do a trick," you'll have a multi-phase professional routine awaiting in your wallet. ----------------------------------- After reading the ad copy above I was interested right away, mainly because Dreamweaver appeared to use props that could not only be carried in your pocket, but was centered on everyday objects (safety-pins) that most people are very familiar with, at least here in America. While the idea of linking and unlinking safety pins is not a new concept (others such as Jerry Andrus, Dan Garrett, and Michael Weber have work on this interesting plot) I do believe the routine and gaff as presented in Dreamweaver is unique enough to warrant your attention. What you receive is the necessary props and a very well put together twenty (20) page photo illustrated booklet which will have you amazing your spectators in no time at all. The instructions are well written and very easy to follow. So easy in fact, I had the basic handling down in about thirty minutes. Obviously one would want to practice more before actually presenting this lovely nine (9) phase routine before an audience, but I do want to make you aware this is NOT tough to do, mechanically speaking. The real work is creating a nice routine that would fit well into your own particular style of performing. My own presentations tend to be on the comedic side and I had no trouble structuring a routine accordingly. The routine itself is quite amazing and is very convincing to the eye. I was having fun just watching this in a mirror, the linking and unlinking really does look like magic. Timing is very important here and just one more reason you'll want to have the moves down to a science. After all, you want the linking to look very spontaneous, not labored. Still, as stated above, making your actions look smooth and believable is not that difficult too accomplish. Finally, the booklet suggests you carry the pins in your wallet, but I prefer using my coat pockets. But then again, that's just my own preference and I'm sure you will do whatever is most comfortable as well. Those of you who do table hopping will appreciate the fact that this effect resets instantly making multiple presentations ever so easy to accomplish. Well, there you have it. What more can I really say? The effect is strong, the props look ordinary and the booklet is well put together. All that and at a price that won't break your bank account! Recommended.
