Hi guys, does anyone have a link of a magic shop which sells plastic jumbo coins. I can't seem to find any anywhere!
Thanks. |

Try UStoy.com. I know they sell bags of those at different sizes. I used them for teaching for the kids at the magic club.

I believe Kevin is looking for the large 3" silver plastic coins that McBride was using on his manipulation video.
I got mine at a convention from a dealer who just had some to sell. I checked ustoy they only have inch and half currenly. This will be a very difficult product to find as I have never seen them anywhere and I bought all the dealer had at the time. Just email all the magic shops you can find. Someone may have them. I dought this would be the kind of item a dealer would waste server space on. Origninally sold as a novelity item, not magic. |

That is interesting as I got some at US Toy a while back and they had a bunch of them. They were large size to and worked quite well. I will have to check at the store near me and see if they carry them still.
You may wantto check out oriental trading company or Kipps online as well. Kyle

If you are using them onstage... Fred Kaps had the best routine with large coins... you might just look around at wine and/or gift shops for round metallic looking coasters (that is what Kaps used).

Funny you should ask -- just last week we bought a bag of 100 "gold doublooons" (for use as a stage prop) from a place that sells Mardi Gras souvenirs and stuff. They are at http://www.mardigrasstore.com. We paid $20 plus shipping for them.
The coins come in plastic and aluminum, in three colors, and are about the size of a silver dollar. But be warned... with Mardi Gras only a week or so away, they may be out of stock by now. Good luck.

Yep, you're right. It's a #$*&^%$ search engine, isn't it? You can try giving them a call at 1-800-259-8954. We received the coins a couple of days ago, so I know they exist. They're called doubloons and -- assuming they have some left -- come either by the dozen or in a bag of a hundred, either plastic or aluminum.

Go to Daytona Magic.net and do a search for jumbo coins. They have them in penny, dime, nickel, quarter and half dollar for $5.00 each.
