Just wanted to say that I've got a Schoolcraft silver dollar gravity flipper that I left in a leather case in my jeans pocket...which I just laundered this morning! It stayed in the leather case throughout the wash, but came out of the pocket and case while in the dryer! (Thankfully, the leather case was not one of my Ton Onasaka ones!). When I went to retrieve the laundry and found the flipper, I panicked a bit. ...But there was no need. Not only was it still completely in tact, not only was it not damaged at all, (no nicks, no dents, no delicate machined parts damaged)...but the doggone thing still worked! The ET that holds it together and makes it work apparently didn't suffer any ill effects from its cool, wet, agitating journey; and tumbling, hot, dry ending.
Quality craftsmanship: Worth every penny. Anyone else send any of their expensive gaffed coins through similar and/or accidental torture? What was the outcome? |

I've had a few gaffs go through a wash cycle! You probably should change out your thread in that flipper though. It's working OK now but it might just be a bit dried out from that dryer heat.

I've read posts where some have spent their gaffed coins or used them in a vending machine. That would be an expensive Milky Way bar.
