For those of us who aren't on FaceBook, is there an alternate way to access (and contribute to) the ideas?

I make my story as stupid as possible.
I'll share the first story I used (I have a new one now)
I always ask for a name of the hero of our story so let's say they decide on Shirley.

Shirley was a spy who was undercover one SHIP as a deck-HAND
But they soon realised she was a PHONEy and took her to the captain to face the MUSIC
He locked (KEY) her up in the hold with the butter, flies (BUTTEFFLY) and other CARgo
This is a (SCISSOR) fine mess said Shirley as she tried to PUZZLE a way out of her predicament.
Then she had an idea (LIGHTBULB) With the strength of TWO PEOPLE, she chopped (HELICOPTOR) a hole in the side of the boat
And FLAGged down a passing submarine (UMBRELLA card turned upside down just try it) which FIREd on the boat which quickly sank.
But not Before (COW is beef come on keep up) Shirley paddled (Bicycle pedaling) off until some fishermen LETTER (let her) on their TRAWLER (trolley)
The end (SKULL)

Thanks for that Smile

Send me a friend request on FB

I think you can also search for The Visionary and then ask to be added to the group.

There's a lot of The Visionary (esp music) and many Stephen Youngs too on FB.
Steve, have you considered a passworded link from your product page?

I'm hopeless at computer/social media stuff.
If someone could show me how to do that I'd love to set it up.

No, not at the moment. Get a Facebook account. It's not that bad you know.

OK guys, if I've done this correctly...this should be the link to the group.

you'll need to ask to be allowed to join.

Okay, you guys have persuaded me to get on FaceBook. I want to be "in on" to this interesting community, and contribute as appropriate.

By way of an update, I did go to Office Depot Wednesday and had my 20 symbols laminated. This is my report:

1. It was not expensive; less than $4.00.

2. The 20 cards are now perhaps twice as thick as they were; still a manageable deck.

3. The laminating process left a few air bubbles that are visible, but not too distracting.

4. The cards now laminated are no longer exactly the same height and width, so the deck does not fit together as neatly as before.

5. My performance with them today went splendidly. For the OOTW effect, I asked for two people, who are friends, sitting together, and who sometimes disagree. With the symbols down, I asked the two women to rely entirely on intuition and choose three or four cards that their friend would NOT choose. You guessed it: One woman's choices were all white symbols on black background, the other's were all black symbols on white background. TA DA

6. I will be getting a second set of the symbols. I will keep them in their original pristine condition and perform with them--perhaps usually, but will use the laminated set in conditions like today--a luncheon, where there was a spot of ketchup on one table, where a drink could spill, etc.

That is my update. I thank everyone for their contributions, and especially Stephen for his marvelous product.

I have no intention of laminating when I get mine. They are props - made to be used - made to replace as needed. I own a lamination machine but I can't think of a good reason to coat these in bubbled plastic. For $40 I can just get new.

From earlier comments on this Visionary thread or another, there were reasons for and reasons against. So I decided to have it both ways!

Typically, of course, the whole set would not get contaminated. Only (say) the ship image would get stained. Each time, you'd be buying 20 to replace one.

I use cinema verite for strolling at parties and I'm on my 3rd set.

Cost of business - worth every penny.

But I hear you George - I just think these things are made to be used and the price is right.

Well now, I just got this the other day and performed the 3rd test with a group today. I like this very much.

With how things are done within this routine, I look forward to Visionary 3.0 ....... What I mean is simply this, I would love to have these cards with a solid color back or a black back with a symbol on it...... You do not need the backs as they are now...... I think that this would look great with a solid color backing. Having a symbol would add a little mystery to the cards.

Soooooooo, how about also offing cards with a solid back with a symbol? .... You know, Visionary 3.0

There already exists a sort of underground version of The Visionary that doesn't have the images on the back.
Just the same design on the back of all the cards.

In fact it doesn't use images at all.
It uses English words.

For V2 phase 1, try using a black window envelope so the specator slides the card in, then peeks the image.
Just an idea.

Same here.
I let them pick a card and putt it in the envelope.
At the end of the other routines (I use pokervoice and pokerface to get to there choosen images) I ask them questions about there choosen picture that is in the envelope.
They can choose to lie or tell the truth with every question I ask them.

If you make up a couple of envelopes you can have the stack crib on one, solving both issues with V2 P1.
Just an idea!

I can't wait to order this in a couple of weeks along with Pict-ionage and Pho-Psy-Pro. Literally what I've been searching for the last year. Brilliant thinking Steve!
