We've all seen his blatant sleights, going into his vest pocket, jamming objects into his mouth. But still...he is disappearing objects into his mouth and I need to know how!
My theory is that he swallows the smaller objects (light bulbs, billiard balls, he sucks to the back of his throat but can't swallow. Still impressive.) and then has to vomit after his act, thus the condition of his teeth. Look at older clips from Leno and Letterman. Nice white teeth. Example. The linking keyrings. He very clearly takes the linked rings from his vest and shoves them into his mouth. This doesn't explain what happens to the individual rings, or how he is able to conceal the linked rings in his mouth and continue to speak clearly. The ring on the lock. He makes no effort to conceal as he walks away that he is linking the ring onto a different lock. But when he sucks the whole thing "down," where does it go!?!? ARG! |

I remember seeing him- back in the eighties, on tv (who remembers "That's Incredible!"?), was probably when I first saw him, whether he was new on the scene I'm not sure, but his effect was about the same as it is now. Then I believed him. Now I say he's a magician, but I think some of those judges think he swallows this stuff and controls it exactly the way he says. "Now the key is going into the lock..."
I heard that 30 years ago... and still the lightbulb's a key feature. That was a huge effect when I first saw him and it seems to still be playing well. He came to Algonquin College to perform this past year and I talked with some of my fellow Performing Arts Class students about him. Unfortunately, I didn't see him there, due to a scheduling conflict. His act is one that's consistently astounded- he seems to be on a revival of media attention. It was cool to hear he's still going strong. |

I believe he was featured on Stan Lee's Superhuman's show a while back. They did some xrays of him actually showing him swallowing items thought to be unbelievable to doctors and skeptics alike. He is a rare and one of a kind act. Worthy of a million dollars? Not sure but he does wow the audiences. He is a true showman. drmagico,he floors me too.

With all of the prime time air he's gotten on AGT, he will be making serious money for a while. He is definitely a unique act.

Hard to see how the producers can exploit the commercial potential of such an act for future dollars. Too much of a novelty item; there's no future in it for the hangers-on. I'll be very surprised if he wins.
