Got mine yesterday and I must admit that I'm liking this. The three credit card slots don't bother me because I tend to travel light anyway. But the loading/peeking feature works as advertised and is very deceptive. The smaller size dimensions is also appreciated. Haven't tried the confabulation feature yet. But I agree with someone's earlier post that the confabulation is not instant reset and/or suitable for table-hoppers, but for a "one and done" it's a nice bonus. One advantage over the Stealth Assassin is that it has a compartment for cash but of course you lose the SUC. But like many have said, I also don't care for the Swiss Army wallets hitting the market. This does what it supposed to well and that's what's most important to me.

Received mine as well. Echo the comments of other posters: the wallet is of good quality leather, is a good compact size, and reasonably well 'laid out.' Will add that Manny's instruction is excellent. I will definitely be using this - though NOT for card to wallet.

I have just tried out this out on my son - who is very sharp eyed - and he was very impressed. And left him wondering about his dad!

Is this wallet a penguin exclusive? Hopefully we'll see these appear over the pond very soon.

At the moment, $120 is roughly £78...what's the betting that it'll go for near the £120 mark if it gets over here?

That's about right Iain, it's normally a ratio of 1:1 dollars to pounds despite the exchange rate.

This looks really neat! So far I have really only bought books. There are so many different wallets out there. May have to save up for this.

I did my first test performance with the BMW over the weekend, and it went great. As with many of us, my wife is my first test audience for pretty much all new effects and presentations.
She is very familiar with magic and methodology, and is aware of peeks. She bought me my Stealth Assassin wallet a few years back, and has seen my Speed Loader Plus, which I've been carrying for a little over a year. When I had her make her drawing and then I put it into my wallet, she certainly knew it was a new wallet - she knows what my wallet looks like. After the routine when I duplicated her drawing (She drew a butt.. Gee thanks!! lol!) she said she really liked it, and that I must've have gotten a peek, but she had no idea how I had done so since the card had been folded. Performing the routine was easy as pie, the wallet works really well. No fumbling with extracting business cards or anything like that. The moment of the peek is so natural and happens so quickly that it arouses zero suspicion. I've only been carrying the wallet for the past 3 days, but I plan to continue carrying it as my everyday wallet. I had had to "pare down" the cards that I carry when I switched over to the SL Plus last year, and I was able to do a direct transfer of all contents over to the BMW. There are 3 main card slots, plus a secondary pocket where I have 2 cards, plus the clear window for your ID. So I have all of that, plus about 7 business cards for performing the drawing dupe routine, as well as a few bills. If you're used to carrying 10+ credit cards around you'll need to do some paring down, but otherwise this has been well thought-out to be a functional wallet for use every day in addition to the magic/mentalism features that are built in. Another added bonus is that if someone happens to pick up your wallet and look at it, there's really nothing for them to find that seems suspicious or out of the ordinary. I don't think it's a big problem, as I've been carrying magic wallets exclusively for 5+ years and have never had anyone examine my wallet or ask to do so. But I also wouldn't have wanted anyone to check them out, because there's almost a 100% chance that they would have found something that didn't seem quite normal about them. With the BMW, if someone happens to pick up my wallet and look at it, they're not going to find or suspect anything. It's a small point, but it's a feature that I like. All in all, I'm very happy with the product and plan to continue using it as my new every-day wallet for quite some time.

I too have been getting great mileage from this. The method is so cunningly concealed and, with places for money and main credit cards, it can easily be used for everyday.
i like this a lot. Neil |

I am not a big peek wallet guy, and when I saw this first advertised, well it was just another peek wallet. This past weekend I got the chance to see one of these in person, and I must say that I was impressed. It's a nice looking wallet. Very nice leather. And I really like how this is set up. You get the peek lightning fast, and everything is motivated. You get a full peek of the card. There are other wallets that operate in a similar fashion. The SAW for example. But with this one you can obviously fold the card and put it away. So, it is a nice gizmo.

It's a nicely made wallet with thick leather and none of this cardboard backing that Matthew Wrights Foreseen wallet had (I liked that wallet but was very disappointed with the construction. This is more on par with the Assassin in terms of build quality.
The 3 credit card slots are too small, at least for my cards in the UK. If you bow the cards when putting them in you can just about squeeze them into the slots. I'm sure they will stretch with use. I like the size of the wallet as I travel light anyway. The main p@@k feature is good. Very good actually and I'm sure most on here will know exactly what they are getting. All in all it's a nice wallet. It looks nice, feels nice and does it's job very well. |
