Once I saw a magician perform Cups and Balls during one segment of which the Cups were arranged in a triangular formation, that is, the Middle cup was perched on the other two cups in such a way that Half of the Middle cup's mouth was perched on one cup, and the other half of its mouth perched on the other cup. I've seen numerous C&B routines, but there was only one time that I saw this triangular arrangement. Was that the only performer who did that? Or is it available on video?

I have seen several routines like that on youtube. I'm not sure where the move originated.
Reality is a real killjoy.

What was going on when the cups were in that configuration?

Is this the move? Kate Medvedeva does a pyramid move at about 1:15.

I just came across another routine where this move was used by a magician named Latko. See the video below at 3:30 in:

I had not seen that before. Interesting...although in the vid scott listed it looked like the magi just dropped the ball on the table. The penetration didn't really register. Kate's version looked a bit better.

Johnny " Ace " Palmer uses that move in his FISM act.
God's grace rocks! It makes a good cups and balls routine look pretty boring in comparison.
