Howdy,

I have two candles, and lost one of the plugs that holds the cotton/fluid in. I replaced it with a small cork.

Within 24 hours, the second one disappeared. I dislike this course of events.

The original plastic plug is superior: has anybody FOUND OUT POSITIVELY (ummm, you might infer I don't want guesses) where I can find some in the day-to-day world?

A specific brand of cheep salt shakers? Some industrial device? I just don't want to buy two new candles. And I just replaced their holding rings - blush - by writing the big buy directly and begging.

This is maddening.

The originals never came with plugs, that is a item of the newer models. Fantasio suggested in one of his books by David Ginn about the cork from a salt shaker. I have found them in hardware stores.

The plug is not an item on the general market. Fantasio does have these made. If you wish to have the silk attached to the candle. Put a loop of nylon fishing line between the tank and the shell. It works great and you do not have to knot the silk, thus being able to use the silk for another effect.

I really don't know how you could have lost the plugs as I cannot ever get the thing out without a pliers.

Hope this helps.

You have no idea how many things I can misplace, loose, misfile, and in general cause to unintentionally disappear.

So I decided to try to make a living at it.

; )

***. He really has these specially made? How do you know this?

Contact Fantasio personally, I know he sells 'capos' for the tops of candles, perhaps he will sell you your requirements.

The tank drops out the bottom when you press the metal wick sleeve against a flat surface or table. Holding the shell, push the wick portion down on a table and the tank will be pushed out the other end. Now if the tank was merely slipping out you have a problem and should just replace the entire unit.

Hi Randy,

I think I've made a couple folks confused. I took the plastic "cork" out, and put it down. There's nothing wrong with the candles. I've just lost these two parts.
