Hi folks
I've been lucky enough to come across a convention display unit backdrop which is identical to the spider unit that packs small and opens up big. It holds together via magnets that lock in when opened. My question is regarding curtains. I'm looking to hang a curtian on it and am looking for sources/ideas as to what others hang off of their spider backdrop. I'm considering getting one sewn up but noticed that it can only hold a certain amount of weight before it 'closes in' on itself. I'm tired of lugging around my photographers backdrop from show to show and really want to bring this clever device into play! Similar to this: Thanks for your time and ideas.

On the spider set ups I seen, the curtain has to be connected to the joints. It cannot hang freely from only the top, to my knowledge.
What you found was a commercial spider design backdrop used by industrial companies when they display at trade shows. Contact the place you seen the backdrop, they should be able to tell you all about your questions for their products. |
