Everyone is familiar with the airborne bottle illusion. You know, start pouring a drink, let go of the glass and it floats, etc.
I really want to purchase the illusion. No I don't know how the trick is accomplished although I have a good idea. The one I am looking at is marketed by the Trickery and is entitled Airborne / Any Bottle. Before I buy can someone let me know if it's worth purchasing? Thanks for your help!

In another thread, a Café Member purchased Airborne Any Bottle and was dissatisfied as the gimmick may be seen through the bottle. I have a version where the gimmick is on the glass itself. It hasn't worked out very well for me. So am considering purchasing an Automatic Airborne version instead.

I own Ultimate Airborne any bottle and Ultimate Airborne 7-UP can (by MAK MAGIC). I don't know if the Trickery version is the same but I assume it is.
I use it at every show I do and it plays very well. In the version from any bottle, I use the typical plastic Coke Bottle with the actual Coke in the presentation so the natural fizzing makes it look all the more natural. Yes you will have to practice and I can offer you some tips if you decide to buy it. Just send me a PM. After I worked out the presentation and the bugs (not the props fault) just handling technique, it is sure-fire and gets gasps from my audience. You can contact http://www.thecuckoosnest.com/ They have them in stock and free shipping I believe for orders over 30.00. Check them out, they have been around for a long time and are a true brick and mortar actual magic shop. (No affiliation), I just go there often. David Paul

Airborne is a cool item and I use it a lot when I'm doing magic behind the bar, especially when someone offers me a drink. I just refuse politely and do my Perrier version.
One thing which I like to do is to start pouring, let go of the glass, and wave to someone or wipe my forehead and say, “Sure been a busy night.”

You already own a good version. Most of the so-called new versions are alike. Just the connection to the bottles are different. The attachment to the glass is different then the version you own.
I have not seen a good working version in these new so called improved versions. They cannot be done close up as it will be noticed how it is accomplished. Whereas, your version can be done close up. The only way to tell is to go to a magic shop that has several versions and compare or by all the versions. What works for one person, does not work for all. |

Which version are you saying is one that I can do close-up and plays well?
I can say this: the wine bottle is out for a couple of reasons. I don't want to use it with kid's shows because it's an alcohol bottle; and it's actually a little pricey for me right now. I think I would go with the 7-Up can, if anything. …There a version of that for the close-up work? -R

Five or six years ago, I found a version here in Japan that included the glass and a gimmick that could be attached to any aluminum can. Very, very useful; I use a coke can at kids' shows and a beer can in bars. Afterwards, just remove the gimmick and throw away the can.
