I would expect that one could make some eerie effects with some PK help with these.

I've been wanting to do a routine for these for a while but haven't it worked into any of my sets yet. There's some great methods out there for doing these without PK. Check out David Abbott's Behind the Scenes With the Mediums as well as Devin Knight's Unknown Forces. The methods are similar and both are great reads with LOTS of take away.

I am working on a routine and manual on using bottle pendulums themed around this very story to go with my work on Lovecraft's Innsmouth (http://www.alchemymoon.com/flea_2.html).

There are quite a number of references to bottle pendulums within magic however many admit to not having used them in practise. They are lovely items. The plan is to put out a small number of these at a fairly low price (The main cost is unfortunatley postage. Here are a few photos of the prototype I had been working with, which was sold with the Innsmouth set. I absolutley love bottle pendulums. They are one of those delightful items in our inventory that has the feel of real magic and something I'd like to see more of. I have a second batch being worked on at the moment with lovely old fishing weights and a number of additional props from the terrible old man story.
