Hi,
I have several tricks, that use maybe one special/gaff card. I am looking for pocket-management-ideas to store a few cards safely on me and to get them in and out of the play easily... My question goes more in direction storing than in in&out-technique (offbeat/palming) I am looking foreward to Your kind suggestions... best whishes lesliemusalo |

Check out Jeff Kaylor's Ultimate Card Control Utility (UCCU) or TKO 2.0.

Dear inigmntoya,
thank You for Your answer! I know and own both already Any other suggestions for pants-pockets,back-pantspockets, jacketpockets. Something maybe like a little index-pack for maybe 3 or 4 cards, that can be achieved separatly? thx lesliemusalo |

If you start trying to store single cards in your pants pocket ( especially during a performance) you will likely damage the card / cards the first couple times. It is far simpler to just stick it in the card box (as if it was a joker you missed) or palm it on the offbeat to a jacket pocket where it will not be in a tight spot that has a tendency to bend. I don't use a lot of my packet tricks at any one gig but I usually just do the packet effect, put them away in their packet wallet and go on with several regular deck effects.
Once you have done a few regular deck effects for laypeople, they tend to forget that the first one wasn't from the deck.

Tip from watching a Daryl video. Or maybe it was something he wrote online. Just put them in the box, close the flap on them and then slide the cards in. You can just dump the cards onto your hand and when you put them back in the box you've secretly added the gaffs to the deck in front of everyone.

You could also leave the cellophane on the box and slide them under there.

Paul Harris has something on this in his AOA books. 'Free ride' if I remember correctly, it was I got the lines of the Daryl thing already mentioned, with some more finesses.
I second the TKO/UCCU also. I have yet to install the TKO properly and mess around with it, but the UCCU can definitely help with adding/storing/ditching a single card very easily and invisibly. |
