I don't know what is exactly the method of svenpack but I have an idea and the method behind it looks like the S******i D**k ... if it is here is my question.
I built myself a similar gimmick but I had a big problem... 50% of the time my spectator has a not so much light touch and pick the page I don't want ... is this risk very present with this pad ? |

On Jan 3, 2016, Jeremybax wrote: Thanks for asking Jeremy. The SvenPads are precision made and extremely consistent in the L and S pages. Even when holding the SvenPad close to your face, it can be difficult to see the gimmick. The true test of a well made pad (and one that *z Pear**an pointed out by phone to me some weeks ago) is testing whether you can allow the spectator to open the pad with their thumb from the SIDES and not just the back. If well made (as the SvenPads are) the pads can be safely opened by a spectator on the side - and they will still get the for*e. That was something I didn't even try or know until he suggested it to me using my SvenPads If you go back to the beginning of this thread, we talked about the fact that many of us (myself included) had for years been making pads like this ourselves using a paper cutter, scissors and sometimes spending 60+ minutes to make one single pad up. This is what SvenPad customer *z P**rlman USED to do for many years - it was time consuming and VERY inconsistent. Nothing wrong with making your own (we've already had that debate ad nauseum lol). The SvenPads with proper management allow what I would say would be a 99% HANDS-OFF success rate in for*ing if you MANAGE your spectator properly. Someone on the FaceBook page asked a similar question - I am going to re-post it here along with my answer: "Question for the group… One two occasions, when I ask a spectator to open to one page and peek, they have flipped through the pad. It seems like human nature makes them want to flip the pages. What is the best wording you guys use to be sure they do not do this?" Answer: The best way is to show by doing first. *z does this well on AGT. Watch how he manages Howard Stern to hold the pad like a bible and look quickly at one. Watch how he catches Heidi and controls the pad before flipping to demo the non fo**e pages. I always ask the spectator if they are right or left handed - and SHOW them (while hiding the F pages when opening)how I want them to take a peek and NOT flip through - simply to open with their THUMB and look at one thing. In Bob Cassidy's included routine he also advises in detail on this exact question - if they flip through he tells them "that they will get too many images." Just ask them to open it up. Believe it or not I've not had a single person miss this in 6 months of use. It could happen but it's all about management. Hope that helps!

Brett - in your recent video, were you using one of your non-gimmicked pads to do your drawing duplication and word reveal?

Hope to see your lecture if you come to LA next time. *And to answer Darby - yes I switched the pad(s) in my back pocket which was off camera. Lastly, I am mailing out about 40 new orders tomorrow as I know some have been waiting about a week (as I sold out of pocket size again). More new SvenPads received today though - all packed, stamped and parcels set to be mailed worldwide tomorrow. If I may say so this newest batch is probably the best yet based on my testing - my manufacturer just keeps upping the quality. I hand check each SvenPad prior to shipping - every single page is tested, no exceptions.

It should be completed (crossing fingers) by end of day and operational according to my web guy. You or anyone is welcome to email me directly and I can provide a quote or PayPal invoice with shipping included. With the more robust cart I will be able to add more items in the future along with a wider array of shipping options. brett@phoenixmentalist.com

Still working behind the scenes with my web guy on better PayPal shopping cart, which should be ready soon. Until then we reverted back to the old code which is less snazzy but very dependable. ***William I look forward to your SvenCritique and your SvenPads mailed out today Priority mail to CA.

Another quick idea: Show a bunch of puzzle pieces. Each of them have a number on the back. You show a pad that has various numbers on the pages. You explain you put all the numbers that match up to the various puzzle pieces. Someone randomly opens the pad, looks at a number and finds the piece that matches the number. You now reveal a covered frame. Uncovering you find a completed puzzle... with one piece missing.
You guessed it. Greg

I would really encourage any of you to pick up his Oz's fantastic 21st Century Phantom DVD - highest recommendation. Let me share the perfect recipe for a killer routine: 1. Oz's 21st Century Phantom DVD http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/1679 2. The SvenPad Supreme http://www.phoenixmentalist.com/the-svenpad/ 3. Another fun idea.
A "get to know you" pad. You explain during your walkaround set that the easiest way to break the ice is to just quiz people on their favorite things. You flip through the pad and it says "your favorite country, your birth city, your favorite comic book character" etc. They randomly flip to a "free" choice and you nail it with your favorite PA. My pick would be "your astrological sign." As you start your anagram of course you are just calling out random letters - you have no idea what they represent or why they are popping into your head... |

Hey, I know this is a bit magicky, but you can get stick on tattoos. So you have a pad full of various tattoos. They pick one and you show it's what you have on your arm.
