And, if that doesn't jingle your bells, check this out... His magic reached millions on season six of America’s Got Talent where he advanced all the way with his large stage illusions. He was also featured in articles in People Magazine and Nations Business, and Oprah Winfrey invited him to make a guest appearance on her show. Scott had the honor of headlining at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas for over seven years and performing over 4000 times! He has been featured on The Sify Channel, Discovery Channel and NBC as well as appearing on the prestigious Le Grand Plus Cabaret Du Monde in Paris. Now, Scott Alexander is coming back here to Penguin LIVE for his third holiday magic extravaganza! The holidays just aren't the same without him. Don't miss it! |

I registered for the lecture but I was out of the house and only caught the last 10 minutes.
I read somewhere that I can download it to my computer within 24 hours of the live lecture. Is that correct? When I go to "My Penguin" section, the lecture is there but only "Watch" and "Discuss" is available. "Learn" is not an option. Can I download it within 24 hours as stated.

I missed the first hour or so but I thought the free part was the Live Show and not the download.
Pick a card, any card at all. Just don't pick a RED spade.

I thought it said that it can be downloaded within 24 hours of the live lecture.
I wish I could remember where I saw that.

OK. I found it. This is copied and pasted from the Penguin website on the relevant Scott Alexander lecture.
---------pasted DONT WORRY IF YOU MIGHT MISS IT. Reserve your seat anyway. Within 24 hours of ending, you'll be able to download and/or watch the full lecture on-demand, and go over all the great routines and subtleties as many times as you want. It'll be waiting for you in your MyPenguinMagic area. ---------- end paste It's not clear to me whether it's saying, I have to download and/ or watch within 24 hours Or It will be available within 24 hours for download

This one was fantastic. Scott and Penguin definitely listened to all the comments and criticism from last year's holiday lecture and made sure this year's was top notch.

Downloads are usually in place the day after the lecture.
We should know tomorrow if the download is included in their generous offer or not. |

Awesome, awesome, awesome. What a great time that was. It was a tightly prepared (even at 3 1/2 hours!), funny variety show with some great effects and instruction to boot. Thanks for the free Christmas gift, Scott and Penguin!
Now appearing nightly in my basement.

When I woke up this morning the download was available to me in my account. I downloaded it quickly in case it might just disappear.

Really great lecture. Focus was heavily on parlor/stage magic. Not a single pipe dream but pretty much everything was clearly something he had really worked for paying customers. I guess this is the reason why there seemed to be so many webcam magicians complaining in penguin forums and twitter This was clearly a lecture for real performers! Lots of the material covered was classical in a way but pretty much in every case there was some sort of twist in routines that made covering em worthwhile. You can always learn something by just listening why pro does something the way he does.
Bits and pieces and gag numbers were numerous. If you have a habit of getting offended you might skip this right away since at the time these numbers were close to what comedy central would call roast. Many many big names and productions in magic got their share of attension Also it is worth noting that language wise this was adult lecture. There was strong language used. I have no problem with this what so ever and I felt it was extremely refreshing to see lecture made clearly to adult magicians who really do perform for lay audiences. Simply put, one of the best Penguin lectures of 2015 easily. Segments on Eggbag, cards across and finger rings were worth their weight in gold for anyone who is doing em or has ever considered doing em on paid gigs. Juha-Matti |
