Iain is quite correct.
One example is at a party last week - great crowd - I asked a young woman to think of someone she cared about and to write that name down with my back turned. As I started revealing the 1st letter of the name and some small innocent details - she slowly started to turn red faced and tears started flowing down. Her boyfriend hugged her but she couldn't hold back - and people were asking her why she was crying - which made her cry more. I've had this happen before so I knew I needed to quickly reveal and then get her to a different mental place - as I had no clue as to what was setting her off. I've had this happen before so it wasn't a complete surprise - but it happens. Playing in these areas is different than doing a top change or ambitious card.

As I haven't got a real clue how the trick is done I really would like to know how easy it is to make a tarot deck of my own like that.
As I will not perform in english the cards are worthless to me and considering the price of the trick and the high shipping cost to Europe I really don't want to buy something I can't replicate on my own using my own deck(s?) of Tarot Cards. So it would be great if someone that already owns the trick might help me out here.

It's not too hard to recreate... Though the cards themselves have writing in English and German on them. It's just the writing on the back in sharpie that's English. Not sure if that helps or not.

I haven't received mine yet but I can relate to Brett's story. By choosing to perform this or similar type effects we need to use good judgment by choosing the proper setting etc., As performers whenever we cross that fine line by tapping into a person's emotions we need to tread lightly. I've experienced many of the same moments that Brett described.

Whether easy or hard and regardless of language - we need to respect the creator Also, the back of the card are not pre-written (somebody might confirm, I don't own this trick - yet), so you can write the backs in whatever language you want. @the Sponge: there are stark similarities with other effects (IMHO). But the combo is pretty much original, clothes included.

All I wanted to know was, if I would be able to replicate the cards to create some to my liking. When I pay more than 60 dollars for a trick that I can't use because the Gimmicks are specially printed or precision made, it is just a bit frustrating to have thrown out that much money that could have been better spent on another trick.

I own it and think it is great.
This is a very nice release and a good mystery. Congrats to all involved. I would also purchase this tarot without the PPF pre-written so I could personalize the reading/reveal even more. |

By the way, for those complaining about "ruining" a deck of tarot cards with the writing, just bring out a dry erase marker and say I made a prediction earlier with this erasable marker... problem solved.

I don't think a lot of people would think or care that you wrote on your tarot cards.... they will enjoy the trick and love the journey

I'm really surprised with all of the discussion over writing on cards. It's a consumable item for a magician. We tear things, burn things and write on things all the time. It's not unusual at all.
