You have walked down the route that seems best to you. I just wanted to mention that it could appear slightly overly confrontational, as - from all I've seen of the way TMOM operate - such public methods probably weren't necessary in the first instance. Dominic, however, has responded with good grace as ever, so I shall waste no time being offended on his behalf!

Morning Tarik
I've not had any contact from you yet, and the team are eager to help you. It's really important to MoM that you are 100% happy with the magic you order from the shop. Can you email them the name you used to place the order, so we can identify your order, track it for you, and help you. Wishing you the best Dominic P.s I agree that the original manufacturers suggested ad copy doesn't make it clear about the move/s needed. As soon as the product arrived in store we corrected their ad copy to reflect this, on the product order page: http://www.magicshop.co.uk/product_info.......d=147142 We also added that you need to add the gimmicks to your own deck of cards. Everyone else: We are running a special deal on unexpected triumph at the moment including free worldwide shipping. It's also covered by our 1 year returns policy, so anyone who orders it can check it out at their own pace, make sure it's a good fit for them, and can take up to a year to return it back. See the site for more details.

Morning Dominic I haven't contacted you at the shop yet as still haven't received it . However I ordered with special delivery and that wasn't applied so it's hard to ring you for a refund when I have yet to even see the item . The reason I am upset about this is because I already know methods for this kind of triumph ( I think we all do that use double backers etc with sleights ) so was misled not just by yourselves but all the companies selling this and at the time I purchased at least no ad copy had been changed and you certainly didn't mention it here when describing where you might perform it hence you had already had a play with it . Yes I will ring the store once I receive but was obviously upset that when I asked for special delivery and paid as I thought the extra £6 something and was told it would show up seperately on my account but then didn't and it's not arrived then someone is not doing their job properly . I will be in touch with the shop when it arrives regards Tarik .

I realise now maybe we should think again but yes magic is all about deception but they should never bite the hand that feeds them ! |

There are hundreds of orders for Unexpected Triumph so I do need to know your name etc to be able to look into this order and track it for you. If you upgraded to special delivery, it would be a good idea for us to track the package for you... Hoping to help Dominic

Because, in my opinion, too confrontational, too public, too soon. Sure, if you feel the manufacturer's ad copy is misleading, point that out - that's helpful; but with a merchant resolve any issues quietly first and give them a chance to show what good guys they are. If they sort things out quickly and easily then maybe post that experience, so others know they are good to deal with; if they don't, or you feel an injustice is still large enough, then yes, maybe there is a case to get some public opinion behind you. But I would suggest that jumping out in public with a complaint can damage a merchant's reputation, potentially unjustly, which is unhelpful to them; which in turn could put new time buyers off from ordering from a great company, which isn't helpful to them either. So, no, I wouldn't agree it's magicians helping magicians.
Incidentally, I'm also still waiting for an overdue package with special delivery from a different company - but it's the last few days before Christmas, when the whole world is flying around in boxes, snags will happen. |

Thanks Paul
I'm totally fine with Tarik. MoM's reputation is well known and he knows he will be looked after. A customer raising an issue on a forum is actually a great way for a shop to show off its aftercare.. It's best to also contact the shop first as well, as it needs to help you quickly. It's luck that his call for help was spotted in this thread, otherwise MoM would never have known he was unhappy/worried. It's frustrating not to be able to help him right away though. If he can let one of the MoM team know who he is, so they can check his order, they can work on resolving his issue right away. Have a lovely Christmas Dominic

The money hasn't came out of my account the special delivery part so I am sure the shop worker has forgot that part of it that's why I haven't received it but was specified . Paul if one issue or one item makes a companies reputation then you are dealing with the wrong companies but as I don't even have the item yet I can't exactly send it back yet but yes will phone the shop once I receive this and will be sure I get a full refund including what it costs to send it back that I know but only fair to point out to other potential buyers who read this thread that it's not as advertised not self working hence magicians helping magicians 😊 What bothers me more if I had known of the sleights I could of even told you this is not original too apparently it's some knock off from a Chinese magician playing magician anonymous . |

Just to confirm as I expected a mix up did happen by MOM ( we are all human ) and they have now fully refunded me my monies before I received it so that is great service . The only reason I bought it up here was the effect was not for me but as a present for someone and obviously would be unhappy to not have received it in time as promised and obviously wanted a nice effect for a beginner with no sleights as per ad copy . I have no problem with the sleights myself but still wouldn't be my cup of tea as have many triumph methods very similar involving these sleights so again would be nice to know in advance or ar least not say the opposite . Anyway all sorted as expected in a perfect way by Dominic's team 😊

I'm still amazed that so called magicians have to rely on the ad copy to tell them what's going on.
This one is blatantly obvious to a magician...if it's not then you are doing too much buying and not enough studying. Decent looking effect though. |

We just had another batch delivered today and we are posting out first thing in the morning if anyone wants one to start on its way to you. The trick is good and very easy to do. The moves are not hard and in the context of the routine they are very easy to do. This is very close to self working, all you have to do is turn half the deck over, you can do that hidden as shown or just do it as they sign the card so there is no real skill required. Someone earlier in the thread also mentioned when he puts the card back in the deck being a move, it's not really you don't have to get any breaks or anything you just do what it shows you to do. It's a shame the add copy was adrift a little on this but the trick does deliver the goods, I blame it on the producers not having English as their first language. We have this in stock ready to go! http://www.saturnmagic.co.uk/new-magic/a......ick.html and the bonus page is free for all those buying from us.

It's impossible to stream the instructions on Murphys site. I have extremely fast broadband but it's a slideshow. Gonna have to download on PC instead. Thanks Mark. Will check it out.

Getting this thread back on track as I received this today.
Inside the box is exactly what I thought, but that's fine because it works great. You get a 5 min streaming/downloadable video. The video is short, but covers what you need to do clearly. It's easy to do, you will just want to practice it a few times so you don't accidentally flash anything. As you probably expected, a good portion of the deck can't be examined, but the advantage of the gimmicks is that the routine has no fishy looking moves and appears very clean to your spectators. One other note about the ad copy/trailer, the card selection process in the trailer looks too clean... You will need the help the help of the Jedis in actual performance. Also, resetting the deck will take some time, like a lot of gimmicked Triumph effects. Overall I really like this and recommend it. |
