For those who have seen it, is it worth the extra cash for 3-D IMAX?

My wife and son got motion sickness watching it in 3D. The 3D is subtle- there's no TIE Fighters zooming towards you. Plus the technology makes it look darker and muddier. See it in 3D if you want, but you can probably see 2D and enjoy it just as much.

I saw it in 4D. It was like a ride at Universal Studios. You could hear and feel things whizzing past your ears, got rocked up and down in your chair, and got misted by water when spaceships flew over lakes. A bit expensive, but worth it. I agree that the 3D is very natural and unobtrusive.

Well I broke the bank and did the full 3-D IMAAX (we don't have 4-D yet). I thought it was great. The 3-D was very subtle (not in your face) and added to the story instead of distracting from it.

2 3-D IMAX tickets = $26.00 Large Popcorn = $8.00
Matinee prices (Before 4 pm) ranged from $8.00 for regular 2-d screen to $13.00 for the full on 3-D IMAX treatment. |
