I would like to have my own playing cards printed. Piatnik gets you 1,000 decks for roughly USD 1,400, which is a really good deal in my eyes.
I have a basic back design in mind, but the important question is: which marking system should I use? I am familiar with a few and personally like Boris Wild's system. Any suggestions? Thanks! Since with 1,000 decks printed, this will probably be my definitive card for the next several years, I want to get it right.

You answered your own question...Boris Wild. If these will be the decks that YOU will be using, stick to the markings that YOU like.

In one of Boris's lecture or videos, he gives instructions on how to make one of his decks.
All it requires is a trip to an office supply store like Stables and some of your time. It's a rub on template. I forgot the brand name. If you want to try it, let me know and I'll get it from the video. I think it was on " Boris Wild - Remarkable Card Magic Vol 1".
