Hi everyone

What is the best book or DVD to learn culling? I can't seem to see it in anything I have. Seems like a key basic skill I would like to add.

Thanks!
Stu.

Card College gives you the basics in culling.

Thank you Andy! Do I need to buy the whole set? Or is it in a certain volume?

Try Iain Moran's The Cullfather. I've just bought it myself.

It's a Big Blind Media dvd specifically to learn everything about culling. Big Blind Media stuff is great for picking up new skills - so you know that you are in safe hands. Smile

Just verified to be precise.

It's in Vol. 1, Chap. 13, Pg. 185

English Version, First Edition.

Your mileage may vary.

Wow - very kind and precise. I will be going to my nearest bookshop to take ONLY that exact page out (kidding).

Thanks

Oh, I had serious ulterior motives as you can imagine, since we're very close in number of posts.

More seriously, check out either the Cullfather or Roadrunner Cull.

If you've seen any of Penn & Teller's Fooled Us, you may have seen Kostya Kimlat.

Very good - welcome to secret sessions!

Have been watching Penn and Teller again, Michael Vincent has a pretty good line of culling too...

Cheers

Learned the cull from James Brown DVD`s and been using it since. I cull the 5th card as a force, just cull the needed card to the top or cull the card to the bottom as they put the card to the deck face down. Kostya Kimlat is the master at this.

There is also a section on culling by Ed Marlo in MINT Vol 1. It's called The Prayer Cull and is a bit different from the Card College and Kostya methods.

As Andy and Boomer said in the above post
If you are new to culling, Card College Volume 1 is a good start
However, I move on to the new source rather quickly because the description still doesn't solve the common errors I saw from other Book or video source(maybe is because of my lousy technique)

Roadrunner Cull is a must have, I first learn this approach from Michael Vincent Classic magic DVD(He use the same technique as Roadrunner cull with slight modification)
it solve all my previous problems with culling
it is so useful that I decide to purchase from original source to learn all the necessary techniques

Finally, if you can get your hand on Harapan Ong's book, Close Cull
do so, because it is one of the best book on Culling technique on the market

there's also another Download call David's Cull
it use entirely different technique, I won't worry too much about this unless you have mastered other culling technique

sorry for my english, hope it helps
