Deadpool Is Killing It At The Box Office, Get The Details
http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Deadpool-......167.html "By the end of President's Day weekend it's expected that Deadpool will have drawn in more than $130 million at the box office. To put those numbers in perspective, that’s one of the biggest openings of all time for any superhero movie ever, and hands down the largest opening for any R-rated movie on record." |

Just got back from seeing it- not your average date movie, but we had fun. Gotta wonder about the family with the kids who sat up in the front section of the theater, though...

Saw it yesterday.
Very possibly the most violent movie I have ever seen. Liked it. The movie worked. Just maybe not for the faint of heart.

Deadpool is a violent charecter. Like I said the wise cracks take the edge off. Something has to.

I will not be reading this thread until I've had a chance to watch this film.
My daughter and her boyfriend saw it and swear by it!

I saw the movie a couple of nights ago. I enjoyed it. But it was not as rip roaring hilarious as I was expecting. My friends (who knew less about it going in then I did) thought it was killer though. I suspect the overwhelmingly positive reviews raised my expectations a little too much. I was impressed with Morena Baccarin's acting, insomuch as I barely recognized her. She was so different here from her characters in Firefly, V, and Homeland.
Of course I appreciated the various Canadian shout outs. Speaking of which: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchew.......3450543 Bonus trivia: This is Ryan Reynolds's fifth time in a comic book movie. He was previously Marvel’s Hannibal in Blade: Trinity (2004), Wade Wilson in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), Hal Jordan in DC’s Green Lantern (2011) and Nick Walker in Dark Horse's R.I.P.D. (2013). - IMDB

I enjoyed it. It was very tongue in cheek with, Deadpool (Mr Pool) breaking the fourth wall and referring to other superhero tropes. The beginning credits were hilarious, as was the Ferris Bueller post-credit. Many of the jokes were lost on the Korean audience I saw it with.

I have always been a Deadpool fan.
The sense of humor kept me reading. They captured for me at least what I thought the essence of the character is. Oddly enough I thought they did that with the Punisher with Thomas Jayne. Not so much with War Zone. I guess with established charecters like these that have been around for decades it comes to just that. I enjoyed Christian Bale as Batman, many thought he was horrible and so on. The villains in the movie always make it for me. Jack Nicholson was great as the Joker. Turns out I didn't realize it until the second movie he was the only reason I personally was able to tolerate Michael Keaton as Batman. That being said the villain was excellent in this movie.

As raunchy as it was there was also a lot more emotion than I expected. That was a pleasant surprise
