Don't know really where to ask this at, but this is where people build and fix things so I thought I would try here. I have a electric touch plus that stays on all the time. It is sending a charge out even when not connected to the m??????t . Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks, David |

It sounds like the r**d switch is stuck. If you know how to... I would try replacing it.

If there is a radio shack still near you
Or try Digikey You can take a photo of it and send it to customer service for identy But It would really help if you measured it with a michromiter and knew the specs ( amps / volts) it handles. You may need to buy a light, medium and heavy model and test them with the M. You could alternativly contact the maker.

Thanks Jay. No Radio Shack there is one about a hour away I'll try them in a week or so. I'll look at Digikey and see if I can figure out which one.

You can order reed switches on ebay. I got 6 for a couple dollars from Hong Kong. Took only 2 or 3 weeks to get.
You want "normally open" Reed Switch. You will have to know who to solder them in, or know someone that can solder properly. Best to use a heat sink while soldering so the glass tube does not break from the heat. U.S - http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Pcs-Reed-Magn......X~dWqYmd H.K. - http://www.ebay.com/itm/10W-Reed-Switch-......zgRWxKRg These are in a vacuum sealed tube, and crack easily. So when you bend the wires coming from the switch, always brace nearest the tube. |

Thanks for the help. I gave to friend at church last night, he works on amps radios and such. Said he could do it the reed switch is smaller than most but he can get me one. I thought it was best to get help after seeing how many different ones there are. Better to get it done right than by a redneck with a soldering iron.
Thanks everyone, David |

Here is a review by a rather young individual, named Thomas, who goes on YouTube as Cardz Nest:

This thing looks so cool but I don't think it is for me or my current style of performing....... but then again, maybe a good ghost story and a bizarre effect might just go well with it. I think it would have to be a supporting device, not the true effect. What do you think?

I purchased / received this from Hocus Pocus a few weeks ago and while testing the item I noticed the LED indicator was not functioning (which makes it difficult to know that the device is working properly). I contacted both Hocus Pocus and Mesika Magic to see if there was something I could do to possibly get it working correctly. I immediately received a reply from both parties telling me to return it to Hocus Pocus for a replacement. I boxed it up and sent it back; I received the replacement the day after my return tracking number showed Hocus Pocus received the damaged unit. That is great customer service in my book. The replacement unit functions perfectly and I cannot wait to put it to use. Both Paul Gross of Hocus Pocus and Yigal Mesika’s representative were eager to assist and resolve the issue so I just wanted to take the time to recognize their great customer service.
