Bob has been very kind to the Magic community at large, helping to book and host Magic Lecturers from around the world. Bob has been very kind to Tom and I personally as well. Bob was a cornerstone of the Sacramento Magic community for many years.

Greetings to all the Magical Friends of Bob Brown,

Here is the latest information about our dear friend Robert Forester Brown, Sr. As most of you know by now, Bob was a Master Magician known for promoting himself and his act around the world, passed away last Sunday, February 7, 2016. He lived a full life during the 94 years he was with us. Since losing his lovely wife, Norma a couple years ago, Bob continued to keep fairly active even though he was in a wheelchair. About a month ago he came down with a case of pneumonia, from which he did not recover.

Bob was a very successful insurance salesman and was a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table, which is a worldwide organization for those that produce over a million dollars each year. With his great sales ability he was able to book his act into some of the most elite showrooms around the world.

Bob Brown’s Memorial Service will be on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at 1PM. The Memorial Service will take place at Harry Naumen & Son Funeral Home, 4041 Freeport Boulevard in Sacramento, California. This will be followed by a “Celebration of Bob’s Life” with refreshments and the “Broken Wand Ceremony” immediately following the service (or approximately 3pm) at Bob’s home: 1250 Norfolk Way, Sacramento, 95831 in the South Land Park area of Sacramento.

I only met Bob Brown ONCE(!),
,....for a three day weekend,
in Germany,..
at a Magic Hand's Convention,..
back in the '80's.
I was playing with a floating ball effect,.
and totally fooled him(!),..
"I don't see the string."
"There IS no string!"
We were best friends, for three days!

Man was he good!
I'm SÖÖ surprised, there isn't,..wasn't,
MORE,..
written about the man!

Bob was a master of focusing attention(!),..
on a stage.
"Focus attention".
,he told me that, all week end.
"Create interest. Focus attention."

(another tip,..I heard,...
"Sex sells.",..(!).
Believe me, this wasn't coming from the lips of a 'dirty old man'(!).
This was a successful,...

Thank you for your post gallagher.

I know Bob had a lot of friends in Magic and had many of the best Magicians in the world as house guests on their lecture tours.

But Bob Brown is a common name and it is hard to know if it was THAT Bob Brown. Sadly, it was.
