Well I and the rest of Lost Art truly appreciate your support and Wilder I do know you and again I appreciate your service. For those who don't know Wilder, he is active military and when he first tried ordering something there was an issue with the address at his base so we took care of it for him and have been in touch ever since. So thank you again!
As far as the idea for Lost Art it was something that had been , I guess the best word is , Festering with in a few of us for a while. We are working magicians, we are magicians who work in the industry and we truly were not happy with the way we felt magic was going. An industry of toys that don't teach any real lessons or just didn't seem to solve any problems. I remember sitting with Eric Jones (who I'm sure most of you know) and we were discussing how we really want to try to change some of that thinking. We wanted to produce magic that we not only believed in but that we believed would be a beneficial contribution to the magic community. We wanted to not only do those things but look at the problems with in the industry that we believed needed to change as well so one of the major things is we focus heavily on the artist and the project they're entrusting to us. We want to make sure that we become a part of their vision and help create something that they will be proud of. As far as where do we see it going, Well I would love to see Lost Art Magic and other magic companies and communities come together to really raise the bar. Change the game and create something that all of us can say we're proud of because we did it together. For us, magic is something that we eat, breathe and sleep and for me especially it's something that changed my life and more importantly saved my life more than once. And if it can do that for me it can do that for others. I don't think there's a clear answer for where do we see it going as much as how can we use it to truly make a difference. I hope that answers your question! |

Xavier - This showed up in my feed so I had to pop in to say hello. I think what Lost Art is doing is very admirable and I'm honored to call you a friend and have contributed a small part to it. I'm finding even 'industry giants' talk a good game, but when it comes down to commitment and conviction, it's $$$, not the true propagation of magic that motivates them.
I'll stand with you and Lost Art to help shift the paradigm. Look forward because a change is gonna come. |

There is no question that Lost Art Magic has started on the right foot and with the proper goals in mind as far as I'm concerned. Trust me when I tell you that to all these guys, the ART OF MAGIC does not take a back seat to the almighty dollar. I would rather have quality products introduced and not rushed to market before they are even half baked as with many dealers. I am proud to know the Lost Art Magic crew. In my opinion, this is magic done right. The trailers are true to the product and all the products have been used in the real world for many years before finally being released to the magic community. Sure, there are those that are just interested in the latest color change or packet trick and those people will always exist in the magic world. But this company is about the serious student of magic. Luckily, this company is not the end all for these guys. It is part of their income...not all of their income. Therefore, and because they are professionals, the products they release are all TOP NOTCH! From the filming and editing of a DVD to the content on the disk. Nothing but Grade A material. All the magic they release may not be for you or suit your style, but I know that you won't find a crew of gentlemen working harder to deliver the best products to your door. Keep up the great work and the high standards!

Hi, Lost Art are putting out a coin box I see from a few magazine ads.
Can you tell me what the box does?

Yes Markymark we were fisrt just going to release just the routine as a DVD but have since decided to include an okito coin box with it so we are in the process of manufacturing the box to the specs we want as well as packaging for the box as well. Things took longer than expected but it should be released in the next few weeks as long as the boxes are up to our standards.
