While on a recent snow skiing vacation at Heavenly Valley in South Lake Tahoe, California, I got to visit the new "Loft at Heavenly Village", a lounge and restaurant that features live magic entertainment each night of the week. The impresario of talent is Tony Clark who has produced countless magic shows in South Lake Tahoe casinos over the years. This new venue is on the California side where there is no gambling allowed. So it is much more subdued and not nearly as loud with the noise of the slot machines and sounds of the card/craps/roulette players that can be heard on the Nevada side of the city.

The 107 seat theater opened in mid-December 2015 and has been packing them in ever since. This venue found immediate success and acceptance by the tourists and locals. Before the stage show begins (and, indeed, throughout the evening) house magician, Bobby Hall entertains the crowd. I sat down (well, rather I stood up) and recorded a conversation with Bobby who tells us about his journey to becoming the house magician at The Loft. And after the evening stage show, I chatted with Tony Clark about the show, the venue, and his new book, "Insider Secrets".
