Love how visual this is, and I am glad to hear one of the bills can be handed out. The split effect is nice; but I also really liked the very last effect at 2:46 in the demo video. I pre-ordered. Looking forward to trying it out.

Hmm. It's such a shame that no-one's questions are being answered properly.
There so few effects that look beautiful on video and are practical and workable for the working performer. I, like many professional magicians, do not want to buy "toys". Two examples of "beautiful" effects that are practical in the real world would be Extreme Burn and Mark Bendell's Bag4Life. I usually rely on professional reviews like those by the World Magic Shop but so far, nothing on this effect. So, if anyone who actually owns this effect or any dealer who has opened the package, is this effect workable in the real world. The world where they pay you good money to work for them, to wow them. If so, is it a surrounded mix 'n mingle effect or formal show only or just parlour? Thank you for your kind understanding of my questions. Warmest regards James

I was relying on The original post by Titanas, where he said he has seen the effect up close and in person and confirmed it looks great.

If you have any question, shoot. I'll try to answer.
From what I read : - Only 1 bill is examinable (not real magic sorry), but your hands are 100% clean - Very easy to carry loaded in a wallet - Real bill not included (sorry) - 20 pound note that becomes 2 x 10 pound note would be tricky to make, but possible Y.

What? It means that the hand with the ginmicked bill is clean as far as not concealing or holding anything else except the one ginmicked bill - that's what it means. Which to a lay person your hand looks clean. So please remember who you would be performing this for and please remember your initial reaction the 1st time you watched it without seeing a series of performances as in the trailer.

Yves,
Thank you answering most of the questions but I still ask about practicality for the working mix 'n mingle magician. How practical is it? Rest time? Reset in secret or in front of the spectators? And most importantly, angles. I have read it says "can work surrounded" and yet have been told that is not possible. Warmest regards James

Hey Guys, I performed flash cash thousands of times at Trade Shows, corporate functions, parties, etc, until I switched to extreme burn. Without actually having Split yet, I don't understand all the fuss. Until which time you create the heavens and earth, its just a trick. I'm sure getting in and out is no more difficult than FC or EB. From a lot of what is being said, it doesn't sound like many actually perform in a real world, that is paid gigs.
"The New York Papers," Mark Twain once said,"have long known that no large question is ever really settled until I have been consulted; it is the way they feel about it, and they show it by always sending to me when they get uneasy. "

Love the funny drawings on the Tyvek bills. All kinds of ways to present that. Someone commented above that they would've preferred to have only their country's bills included at a lesser charge - personally I admire the whole pallette of choices and presentational possibilities that is included at such a reasonable price, along with the instructions and handling tips.
I could see producing the fake $100 bill at the end of a bank night routine, partly to take the immediate sting out of the fact that the magician alone won the prize. But then bam, there's the kicker when you turn it into two real fifties. Again, less of a sting because it's clearly a magical moment. Hopefully at some point in the future, individual bills could be made available as an add-on/refill.
Now appearing nightly in my basement.

Practicality: Very Reset: Quick - you can probably do it as you put the notes back in your pocket. A simple unfolding and repositioning of the bills. Angles: The rear of the bills can not be allowed to be seen before the 'split'. So if you have people to your sides or behind, you'll need to hold the bills close to your chest so they can't see the rear of them. After the split it doesn't matter. |

Interested in the angles on this; most performances seem to be "in the face of the camera" and of the few that aren't there is some flashing.
Camera shutter speed is also key on these quick change effects so it would be interesting to see how obvious it is in real life. But it sure is purty ! |

How practical is it?
This is really practical, just have it in your wallet Rest time? As fast as Snaping your fingers Reset in secret or in front of the spectators? Depends on what you mean. No it can't be openly made in front of spectatore. However you don't need to leave the room for 20 minutes. Can be made on your back in a blink . Get the idea ? And most importantly, angles. I have read it says "can work surrounded" and yet have been told that is not possible. You can do it surrounded, but you would have to covers angles by having the bill very close to your chest. I don't thins this is very confortable, but still can be done if necessary. Beside this you just don't want the audience to see what's happening on the back of the first bill. Y.

Will this require me to destroy a £20 to make this gimmick? If it does then this bumps the price up to £47 which is expensive for someone who only does it as a hobby.
