Hello,
I'm Trevor Whittow and was adopted from Tula, Russia at 11 months old. I'm now 18 (birthday is May 2nd FYI) and I'm living in Wisconsin going to school for acting at UWSP. Now a smooth transition to my magic and entertaining. Bam! I've been performing since I was three and I haven't stopped since. I am 100% self-taught which, in my opinion, is why my style is so unique and fun: it's all me. I use a lot of things I've learned in my acting training about being present and staying connected with people in the psychology of my performance. I've performed at Summerfest (World's Largest Music Festival), The Marcus Center (a big theatre in downtown Milwaukee), news stations, restaurants, and private events for schools, faculty picnics, investment companies, etc. Now just because I perform magic doesn't mean that's all I perform, I also dabble in the world of juggling and balancing which creates thrilling street and stage shows when intermixed with my magic. I am a firm believer that you should learn as much as you can about your profession (which for us is to entertain people); so I'm still learning new odd talents and creating new unique acts to this day to add to my repertoire. My style is very much influenced by old vaudeville/cabaret comedy performers. The audience is a friend and we have a conversation with each other. This develops a relaxed atmosphere where everyone is enjoying themselves and willing to participate in the space. I have a unique philosophy on the role of the performer and how to go about it but that's a conversation for a different day. I originally got into this business from my love of the circus when I was a kid. I still have the love for the circus and have been studying and researching it since I was 7. I specialize in American Circuses but also know stuff about the European Circus too. I take a lot of that knowledge to help create my act too. So please message me or reply to this if you have any questions, want to learn more about me, or just want to talk. I'm a lonely person hahaha. Anyhow I hope to learn more on here and hopefully get to know some of you. I'm always looking to make connections and help others out. Sincerely, Trevor Whittow Man, I nailed that!... get it? Nail cause my picture is me with a nail in my head?..... No?.... Okay, I'll be quiet now.

Welcome TrevorVarietyPerformer,
I'm not a fan of blockhead and such but it sounds like you've got got a lot of things to choose from to make a fun and interesting show. I like a little jugglery in my show too but it sounds like you are much more accomplished. I know what you mean about the audience and you being friends. I feel that way myself. I'll see you around the Café. -Mary Mowder |
