I just watched the latest Cabonaro Effect and he had a surprise assistant.
David Regal. I know David is involved in the show. I think he's a consultant but I'm not sure. I love this show. It's like Candid Camera using magic.

David Regal is one off the magic consultant for the show. He was also in one off the earlier.
If you watch for it there are also a couple references they put in for magicians watching the show. Things like using names like Phil Goldstein and Eugene Burger. |

I think that particular clip with David has been around for a couple years, if I'm not mistaken.

Anybody know where Michael got his seemingly encyclopedic knowledge of magic techniques? In watching him, it seems his abilities are indeed an endless well, especially when it comes to his knowledge of techniques and modus operandi for accomplishing the desired effect.
I never cease to be amazed at the way he will take an old classic, multium in parvo ( sp?) for instance, and give it a new modern spin. Anybody recall that one? Where he took multum in parvo and adapted it to drinks in a bar situation? Repeatedly, he takes classics and revamps them to fit everyday situations, but is that knowledge all in Michael's brain, or a it like 80 % his creative staff? Enquiring minds want to know, because if it's all him, then he has more magical knowledge in his 30 some odd years, then I've been able to garner in a lifetime of studying magic, and I assure you I've studied assiduously over the decades!!
