Hi mem deck workers.
I notice that some talk about using a 5-faroed deck order as their MD, largely because of the easy way to bring it into NDO. But I also notice that no one gave that as their MD of choice in the simple poll I ran. Can people give their reasons for/against using such a set up as a MD compared to using a more well-known stack, such as Aronson or Osterlind or Stebbins etc? Maybe reflecting upon the issue of perfect faroes, getting into stack from NDO, the lack (or otherwise!) of built in effects, etc. Also, can someone provide the order of such a deck card-by-card, if its not too much trouble. |

I use a 5-faroed deck order, but not directly from NDO, as I do some overhand "re-sequencing" before the faros to further disrupt the order and make it unique.
Here's a site that'll give you the order you're after. Personally I don't care about built-in effects as there are some terrific effects that are stack independent. The only reason why I chose to faro is I could stack a new deck in less than a minute and finish my set, if required, with a NDO effect. |

Thanks Claudio.
For ref, 5-faroed order from NDO (US?) is: AH 9H 4C QC 7D QS 4S 6H AC 9C TD 2D 7S 3H JH 6C KD 5D TS 2S 8H 3C JC 8D KS 5S 5H KH 8C JD 3D 8S 2H TH 5C KC 6D JS 3S 7H 2C TC 9D AD 6S 4H QH 7C QD 4D 9S AS If you don't mind me asking, what stack-independent effects do you use with the 5F order? And was it primarily the 'ending NDO' that sold you on this stack rather than the more well known ones? Also, does anyone know of any 'built-in' effects or secrets hiding in 5F order? |

This used to be me stack for a few years. I loved it. (I would cut the bottom ten cards to the top, so the 10 Clubs was on the face of the deck.) I eventually moved on to a four-faro stay-stack for reasons discussed in a previous post. As for built-in tricks, there were some coincidences that could be exploited, but I do not recall any tricks unique to the stack. I remember doing Gambler vs. Magician with the 5s and Ks. The central reason for adopting it in the first place was that I could finish in NDO.

Here is a graphic I made of the 5 faro stack for someone https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9732......ack1.png if it helps you visualize better.
