Lo Pan Special user Haven't slept in weeks - but I now have 769 Posts |
Im in Hawaii and run up against this all the time - usually I email the seller and can work out a cheaper shipping cost, especially if speed isn't a concern.

Just thought I'd let you all know:
Vic's service is top notch. I was checking my email tonight and found one from him in there. Seems that the site just automatically calculated for international shipping. Not only had he already refunded the difference, but he also provided me with my tracking number. Excellent service indeed. Thanks Vic! |

My set just arrived in the mail today. WOW!!
These definitely exceeded my expectations and look even better in real life than in the pics on the website. Packaged up very nicely as well. This is easily one of the coolest things I've purchased in a long while. Thanks so much Prof, Vic, and Slim for bringing together such a great thing. |

Since we spoke a few weeks ago about the possibility of using the Traveler Wallet with it, I thought I'd give a little review since I've had my Traveler Wallet for a week or so now.
The wallet is a little beauty designed by Jeff Copeland for coin work. It has an extra little gaff area that I was hoping to use with Comfundamus for a subtle transposition effect when the occasion seemed right. I had thought the wallet was a bit bigger than it actually is; but basically, the interior of the wallet is a square that is exactly the same size as the Confundamus tokens. It fits them, though a bit snugly. With all four inside, the contents are clearly a tad thicker than it was designed to hold, and won't fully close without keeping he opening Just slightly askew (it is a twist-close piece, as is clear from the demo video). However, the beauty of this wallet is that the leather sort of molds over time to what it holds. After working the wallet over a bit, per the excellent video instructions that Jeff provides, I find that it is fairly easy to insert and remove the tokens, and the opening now stays closed and flat after being in my pocket and being stored with the opening on the bottom. And the black leather looks super cool, very much like a sleek formfitted Moonskin-style wrap. I am going to continue using the wallet as a wrap for the tokens. I'll get another circle of leather to use as the plate-shaped base, and wrap the wallet and its contents inside that, secured with a leather thong or strap. I think it looks more elegant and creepy than the drawstring bags that are so ubiquitous with our effects lately. If it takes a moment or two to open and unwrap everything, well... as our friend Chris Gould teaches us, the unwrapping is often a big part of the suspense in revealing the strange objects in our possession. I won't say what or where the "tricky" area is on the wallet, as that is a secret for owners only, but I will say that a single token will absolutely not fit inside it--the stitching makes it just a bit too tight--so effects with the tokens will not be possible. However, you could certainly store an old coin or similar "satanic" marker in it, to use for identifying the Devil's side (as outlined in the instructions). That is what I plan to do, as I have fallen in love with the wallet as a carrying case, so I'm not that disappointed about the tokens not fitting that part. I'll try to remember to bring the little satchel with me to ECSS 3, in case anyone wants to see it. A gorgeous wallet/case for a fantastic effect! Thumbs up from me! |

Been away for a bit and just catching up with missed posts on this topic. I'll keep it quick:
1) I completely agree with others, if you have a problem no matter how large or small you perceive it to be PM the creator first before posting please! 2) Prof BC - You are an artist and a genius, please don't take it to heart. I'm currently sitting with my 8 month old copy of M*re Gh*st. I haven't performed it yet because when I do I want to do your incredible creation justice. I have a cr*p memory so have spent time every night over the last few months doing what I need to do to perfect it. I don't expect to have it perfect until Christmas when I will perform it for my wife and for the first time will have her totally and utterly bemused. That alone is worth every second of practice. And as an added bonus excercising my brain in this way is already having a beneficial effect on my short term memory and is likely to help keep the true horror of Alzheimers from my door. So not only do you create beautiful stuff but you are beneficial to health too sir! 3) Thanks Seth, on your reccomendation I picked up a traveller...what a wonderful little creation for Confundamus and beyond. |

Thank you for the insight with The Traveler. I was hoping it would work with the tokens. If you fit the wallet to the tokens will it make it too big or loose to use with coins if you choose to use it for coin effects in the future?

It doesn't stretch it much, since the square Confundamus tokens fit in pretty perfectly (really makes it look like the wallet was custom made for them). Therefore it could probably still work for the coin stuff. But the leather really does sort of mold to whatever is in it, so... my recommendation, given that Traveller isn't that expensive, would be to get one strictly for Confundamus and another for your coin work, so that the coin wallet would be broken in more for the size and shape of the coins.

Coins fit perfectly along with Confundamus. Many other options available besides the supplied glass tokens. I am looking into some religious medals to use.
So we don't get off track again........ the supplied tokens are fine as is. They are not necessary for the basic or expanded routines. |

Quick hint re the Traveller: As mentioned on the accompanying DVD the best way to get the leather flexible and looking aged and used is.....to use it! Pack it with some coins, put it in the same pocket as your car keys and let it get beaten around. When you are sitting bored in a meeting take it out and scrunch and flex it. Let the natural oils (and grime) of your hands infuse it. Spill coffee on it and drop it on the floor accudently. Mine already looks old and well used and flexes perfectly.

I love Confundamus. I see it more as a utility item rather than as a standalone effect, but that's totally subjective on my part. I've been using it in conjunction with my Spectre. The other night I was doing readings for three ladies and only wanted to do Spectre once. I used Confundamus to see who was worthy. Those who know both effects will know what I mean, if you can beat the devil you're in contact with P******* W****, etc, etc. I can't say this is an amazing revelation, but it's been working wonderfully for me. Confundamus is a winner!
At a convention of mind readers, a man sees an attractive woman he'd like to meet. He walks up to her and says, "Hello! You're Susan. Who am I?"

Just FYI - I noticed that while "Confundamus" is currently listed as sold out, there is a note that it will be available again in late 2017.

Vic at Gemini has released a great little tutorial video for Confundamus to those who own a set. The handling is slightly different to the ones taught in the PDF and I really like his version. Had me thinking up some whole new routines for this great item. Although pdfs are always great (especially those that Prof BC puts so much hard work into) it's nice for some of us who learn in a more visual way to be able to see an item demonstrated on a video too.
