In my new Penguin Live lecture I perform the Substitution Trunk Mystery, using the box as just a prop and not a secret tool. Hope you like it. New handing and new sleights. Download available from Penguin on August 28th.

It was a fun routine.

Hey Chuck,
Great review that must have taken some time and it covers it really well.
To bad it's so hard to convey the ideas without giving to much away.
It's just so much material for the price.

I had some alterations done to a coin box so I could do the routine called Pierced Thru from the Coin Box Concepts and they did really good work.
I tried the routine out at my show this past weekend and it was great. My original thought was that I would do the routine once or twice to test it out and then I would see how it was received.
I would then take it and see what I needed to change but I performed it for the first group and one of the ladies gasped really loud. She then covered her mouth and started to laugh she said "that was unbelievable, didn't that hurt?" She grabbed my hand to see if I had a hole in it.
After that response I did try it out a couple more times and though it didn't get quite as strong of reactions as that lady it did get a whhhaaaaaaat? As well as a WTH. It's great because I would carry my halves in my pocket during my shows but now I am going to carry them in this box so I can have this "bonus" routine with not much more pockets space being taken up.

Here is a video review on it that is pretty good.

It actually has a link to get the set at a greatly discounted price for those interested in coin box magic.

I have had the pleasure of reading nearly everything published with Okito boxes and I can tell you this is a game changer.
These ideas are really thought provoking. I broke out my box set and have added some new material from this set.
If this doesn't become a standard go to on coin box magic I'd be surprised.

Thanks New User

It didn't take too long as I wrote notes as I went while watching it. I noticed that I left quite a bit out because I didn't include the sleights taught during some of the effects. You are right it was hard not giving too much away.
I had a lady come in last night and request one of the routines from this set that she had seen me do a couple weeks earlier. She liked it enough she brought a couple friends from work in so they could see it.

Really enjoying the videos. Even went over to Johnson Prods and grabbed some various new boxes.
Will give my full impressions once I watch 'em all the way through.

I'm interested in this downloads but the web site is down. It's only about a year and it's down, how strange. Does anyone knows any other way to purchase them?

Thanks
Have a nice day

There's a clear one called the x-ray coin box, like so: https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/magic/......coinbox/
I've seen one with a hole like this: http://www.zeezos.com/fun-inc-okito-box-with-hole-gimmick/
but if memory serves it was quite deep - more than the usual 4/5 coins.

I'd have to go digging to see which box with many holes was the kind he used. Maybe one of the coin penetration ones?

Found this one for the hole box:

And this for the transparent box:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/X-Ray-Coinbox/29......38.l2649

Ordered both.... and a J.G. Thompson Coin

That first link appears to be broken, the second one seems like the one I mentioned, but was out of stock. Let us know how you like them.

MitchC, did you get the coin box with a hole in it?

The only one I am aware of is Paul Diamond's Hoo's Coin Box. Which is no longer being made. So you would have to purchase used or custom made.

There is a Hoo’s box on EBay, been there for a while. It’s not cheap, but listed with best offer.

Ottphd, I am one of the watchers on that item. I have one already. Bought from Paul Diamond at a Florida convention long time ago.
He is asking waaayy to much!

If finds a moron that buys it, I'm posting mine for a $1000, may be $5000.

Jerry

One the coin guys would make you one probable for less then $200.
