Hi Everyone,
I am looking for the source that will point me to a backwards reflection illusion. It is something I saw in print many years ago (digitally or hardcopy I no longer remember). The illusion consisted of someone peering into a mirror, but instead of seeing their faces reflected they saw a reflection of themselves, from behind, staring into the mirror. It was done with optics, and strategically placed mirrors, but I can't remember where I saw it. It could have been an old book describing optical toys, book of illusion designs, an art exhibition... I can't seem to find it. It was presented as a curiosity, not a trick. I thought I would check with the people who know all! Cheers, Lucien |

Perhaps you already know this, but just in case:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Not_to_be_Reproduced This painting by Magritte depicts the idea you describe. It would be great so see it filmed or photographed. |

Is this an available illusion? I am very interested in the concept.

This is a mind expanding illusion. Can form a good story line for a routine.

Easily done with a camera and flat screen TV.
