I've been a long time follower of the Café but never joined until now.
I've been known to do a trick or two.
I actually have been doing close up for about 25 years and am an avid collector as well.
It seems sometimes more like I live in a museum than a house.

My house is more like an archeology dig with layers of sedimentary magic.
Yours sounds much neater and more aesthetically pleasing.

Nice to have another collector in the Café. I think the preservation of magic apparatus is so important to the craft. What do you like to collect?

Well Mary never assume as that sounds pretty close to the description I would give as well at least in parts of it.

I collect a little of this and that. I actually have a few pieces from the Houdini era I'm pretty proud of.
I do have more modern pieces that I enjoy like most collectors I have a few set a of cups, some rare Owens pieces.
I actually inherited a bit stuff that has been floating around a while and has found a new home.
I am currently trying to strike a deal on a piece that has been, for lack of better word, missing from a very famous show since the 1890's.
in the attempt to not jinx myself I won't go into detail but my fingers are crossed.
As you might be able to tell I am a bit excited about it.

I have a small collection. I love woodworking so I like about anything wood. Have some things from Michael Baker that I love. Have most everything Ben Stone made from Delben. If its well made I like it.
