We also need to embrace the entire Constitution rather than one's favorite Amendments. This means that I should be safe in my person and property from those who feel their "needs" should interfere with my rights.
I require some measure of protection from those who carry cellphones in their car, guns in their pocket, hatred in their mind or any attempt to legislate a personal religious view. Why do not those proud of their "right" to have whatever guns they desire also proudly announce what they have/carry so that my rights are preserved? I want a sign on every gun owner's lawn/apartment detailing what fire arms they own, and a placard or tattoo on any person carrying such a weapon "for protection." What is sad is the incongruent actions between the concept of the right to own a gun and the right to shoot it. Support your right to own a gun by proudly declaring said ownership. I own two firearms, a having given others to my daughters: a Spingfield 30-06 for hitting a basketball at 800 years without a scope, and a short barrel pump shotgun with laser sight so that even my visually impaired wife can scare off an intruder or shoot his b*lls off. I would have no need to "carry" if I knew which people feel they have a right to carry since I could avoid them, just as I avoid driving on Saturday nights in a nightclub area. It is really just a matter of respect. Just joking, of course. A sword cane and throwing knives that need no permit. Strange that they are illegal to carry.

Show me where such signs are in the Constitution and I agree.
Also if you can talk the bad guys into signs we may have something.

Constitution? What Constitution?
Even President Obama could not use the word "Constitution". Obama referred to it as "That Piece Of Paper". We are NOT secure in our Person or our Homes. Remember, it was Obama who signed the NDA with the section that states that anybody can be Arrested and INDEFINETLY Confined without ever being told what it is they are suspected of AND they NEVER have to be charged with a crime. You can also be Incarcerated outside of United States territory. Due Process is non-existent Under the NDA Law. President Obama promised he would never use this new law (so why have it?). Great Britain is about to lose their sovereignty and the United States is going to be next when the North American Union is fully formed. My Apology to all the Brave American's who fought and died for our Liberty and Freedom (Sovereignty). We were too busy fighting among ourselves over petty B.S. and laughing at those who tried to warn us, now it is too late. America is Lost but who really believes it? Who really cares? I have to go polish my foil cap now and drink some more of that delicious Kool-Aid the press is handing out these days. Iven

My apologies for not being more explicit or unable to control the flow of the dialogue on the thread topic. My intent was to express sadness and outrage over how in a matter of years our children's fears have gone from (safely) fearing the darkness at night and the imaginary bogeyman hiding in their closet to the very real world of mass murderers, deadly religious fanatics. and mentally unbalanced individuals truly threatening their lives and everyone important to them. Topics that would never have arisen or those we could brush aside as imaginary are now a very real fear (despite the odds) and it is brought to their attention daily in their homes, schools, playgrounds, and areas they frequent and reinforced by having to teach them what to do in such a situation.
On a side note, because of the publicity how many sickos will now indiscriminately spray restrooms with bullets in case folks are standing on toilets and can't be seen.

(I am thinking here of those who believe in lizard people with death rays; FEMA camps; Operation Jade Helm as a power grab / prelude to a military coup; Trump as a liberal plant / 'Manchurian' candidate / sleeper agent for Clinton. Okay, just kidding about that last one being crazy.) I suspect saying someone is 'living in fear' is often used as a polite way of saying someone has 'wackadoodle beliefs'. And about asking if anyone is 'living in fear' (i.e. crazy). Well, sanitariums are full of sane people. Just ask them.
