My wife and I attended Michaels show last night. He is a very entertaining magician and the crowd responded enthusiastically to magic effects that many magicians might feel too amateurish for todays sophisticated audiences (i.e. he did the bill in lemon using the version found in ,"Mark Wilsons Course in Magic").
Even without fancy illusions and pyro-technics, Carbanaro proved that the tricks we might put on hold from performing in a stage act can still play to a large audience...and that personality is 95% of a great magic show. |

I agree.
And I watched every one of his TV episodes. Many of them more than once. It's all in the personality (Performance).

The method from Mark Wilson's course? Been there, done that! Good ol' days!
What is the shaving cream bit, please?
The difficult must become easy, the easy beautiful and the beautiful magical.

That wasn't magic, but it certainly was great theatre.
