Are there any sites that teach magic (step by step)? Like rope tricks, or card tricks, etc. Any other magic tricks?

If you know any, can you let me know?

You'll probably have to pay to see anythign worth while. You can find some basic stuff here and there on the net, but your best resource is probably your public library.

Unfortunately some of these sights that sell magic give it away with their online demos.
In loving memory of Hughie Thomasson 1952-2007.

You brought something beautiful to this world, you touched my heart, my soul and my life. You will be greatly missed.

Until we meet again “my old friend”.

"Now you see it, Now you don't" Available at just about any magic dealer. A good beginning in magic. You would be alot better off with books and video's than tryiong to use the net. Check out your local magic shop.

To be honest with you, I recommend http://www.conjurer.com
They have lots of free tricks but tell you them clearly.
I also thank the rest of you, that contributed sites that tell you step by step instructions to magic tricks!

Magic is a state of mind created within the veiwer. You can buy tricks by the truckload. Establishing the state of magic is hard work. In fact you should think of it as both an artform and lifelong profession. The best magic is created on your own, as it is your own.
...think not that all wisdom is in your school. You may have studied other paths, but, it is important to remember that no matter who you are or where you come from, there is always more to learn.

I did learn a LOT from sites before I bought my first DVD, and I mean 1996 or so. Forces, DLs, basic sleights, counts, etc.
There are sites, they´re just kind of hard to find. But if you find them, you´ll probably end buying a book, so why don´t save time and buy the book first?
Just a thought.

I think books are the best way of learning Magic.

1. Ultimate Magic Network
2. The Secret Sessions Section here once you get 50 posts under your belt.
3. e-magic trick.com
4. Absolutely Magic
5. Online Vissions.com

I totally understand your eagerness to find as much free info on the net as you can cause the books and particularly the dvds can be a bit steep. I have found that although there are some useful sites they are pretty limited. Try to get into a local group by asking about in your local magic shops.
At least I can say I tried
