How about flexibility.
"The New York Papers," Mark Twain once said,"have long known that no large question is ever really settled until I have been consulted; it is the way they feel about it, and they show it by always sending to me when they get uneasy. "

Oh, it's easy. I can do it with my little finger.

Hi, I was curious to how similar this (the working) is to Meir Yedid's FINGER FANTASIES. Great booklet (by HL - don't have the DVD), however I did have some trouble with the flexibility issues. Any advice? Thanks in advance!

How is this different from Meir Yedid's idea from 25 years ago?

There have been other people to play around with this technique since Meir Yedid. But I've never seen anyone "get into position" so smoothly as Nick does with this.

Looks pretty cool. For $10, I can see this being a great ad on. Anyone download it yet?

Back when Nick lived in Orlando, I saw this a bunch in person. He has some great touches on it since Meir Yedid released his

Looks exactly like Meir Yedid's Finger Fantasies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtBuBSv29Pc
I have the DVD but I can't do it because I am not the slightest bit double jointed. My fingers do not bend back even one degree.

I have done this for a heck of a long time after seeing Meir Yedid do it at lecture & watching him perform it on the Paul Daniels show ( a long long time ago)
However after seeing Nick do it on the trailer I obviously knew what he was doing but it looked so good. In fact it looked better than what I had originally seen. I tried it in the mirror & then sent for it to see how Nick had achieved the perfect illusion. This is well worth the asking price. In fact it is worth more than that. Fantastic release & full crediting given. Mike Donoghue |

Mike can you please speak to what the value is if you're already familiar with Meid's work?

And does this actually require you to be double jointed?

Does this trick require an unusual amount of dexterity? Basically, I'm trying to determine if just about anyone can perform the trick, or if it requires a special physical ability which you either do or do not have...as opposed to something which can be learned.

You don't need crazy bendy fingers. I just bought it today and haven't stopped playing with it. The angle is better than I thought too.
well worth the $10. would've paid more for it.

Anyone can do this. It doesn't require you to be double-jointed, super flexible or anything out of the ordinary.
It will take practice and mirror time but is within any beginners grasp. |

Isn't this basically the same thing as On/Off by Nicholas Lawrence (via SansMinds)? I don't have either, but it seems extremely similar, with a little bit of different flair to it.

You don't have to be double jointed.
Also, the little touches with open fingers the angle at which you hold your hand etc etc make for a much better illusion. For me it looks better than Meir's version. Having said that though Mr Yedid didn't just take a finger off, he did a heck of a lot more. BBUT it's the taking a single finger off on the Nick Locapo version that looks so fantastic. It looks like REAL MAGIC ha. Also, I would say it's similar to Nicholas's effect( On /Off) in METHOD, which is originally a David Harkey effect. However you don't see the finger removed & shown in the other hand it just disappears. It's not expensive so I sugest buying it and working on it. It's one heck of an impromtu effect. Mike Donoghue |

How sensitive are the angles? Is this something that needs to be performed for someone directly in front of the performer or can you walk up to a group that will crowd around you and perform?
