Rubicon by Gregory Wilson This looks like the one Garrett Thomas performed in the Ruskin a few years ago, Im assuming the hefty price reflects the workmanship involved, having Gresg's name on it I would think so....This could well be on my wish list.

This is most definitely NOT the version Garrett Thomas uses. Both look great, one has possibly influenced the other, but that's all there is.

It sounds like there is only one gimmick. I am curious about the matching the cube with the one the spectator "mixed." I do a version of this that doesn't require a gimmick, I assume this matches that. I wish we could see a full demonstration. I believe simply solving the cube to be worth the purchase price ... and I can't wrap my brain around the engineering needed.

Actually, I may be wrong. I just read this in the ad copy: Comes with everything you need to RUBICON your audience immediately: Two cubes. Precision-made gimmick. Customized performance box. Instructional streaming video. Adoring fans not included.

The only thing nagging me is that Greg is a Ninja with his hands (switching) etc. I'd expect this to be self working, though, at the asking price.

I was fortunate to get to jam work Greg one evening and he showed the workings to this, it's genius and will 100% be picking it up

Keeping it out of novice hands for the higher price tag.

Thanks Christopher, is the gimmick pretty durable and made to last?

What is the learning curve on both phase 1 and the phase 2 matching? Smile

Wow, I just watched the video for the umpteen time. Greg says you take back the cube AFTER THE SPEC HAS MIXED IT. That eliminates guessing on this one unless there is a switch and I did not gather that from the 2 minute plus video....

Full performance, watch the second phase closely.

He is really really fast, and sneaky. I got the sneaky down but the second phase, well, not everyone can be Greg Wilson..... Smile Smile

This is great. Seeing Greg do it live is a thing of beauty. Add me to the list. Wonder when it will ship

It looked like there was a switch for the 2nd phase of the routine after the spectator mixes a 2nd cube... is that not the case?

Looks very impressive, especially if there is no switch. I do something similar with a small cube that matches a regular one, but it's not as clean.

In case there is a switch, then in that case this IMO is not worth the whooping $350 effect. There are quite a few cube effects using a clever switching technique.

It would be nice if the creator or the distributor can come and clear a few queries please.
