Since it has been since 2018 that I posted on this thread, I supposed another update is in order.
1) Tales From The Flip-Side and the Magic Cabaret continued to tour theaters and comic cons all over the country, selling out theater after theaters - 80% of the venues where hard sell outs. 2) I continued to performnightly at House of Cards in Nashville until the pandemic shut downs. 3) In 2019 I took the manager role for Nightly Spirits Ghost TOurs and launched Music City Music & Mystery Tours with them. I'm heading into my 4th year with them. 4) As a result of that gig I created a new theater show called The Haunted Theater and present that in theaters across the country. In Oct 2021 I performed 58 shows in 14 days. 5) Big Daddy Cool died of Covid and I made a pivot to focus primarily on writing my Decoverse series of books and launched a new live stream podcast that is now ranked in the top 10% globally. 6) As of today, I have workshopped several new shows inspired by the podcast and comic cons I have been active in for over 15 years. A few theaters and a few cons with plans for a potential theater tour in 2023. And for those of you wondering about updates to "How To Produce" the e-book has been updated several times on Lybrary and Amazon. You're welcome! John B. Pyka |

WOW! Almost another 2 years since my last reply...
2023 - I toured a new show called Beyond Smoke & Mirrors, including a 12 week run at the Palace Theater in Gallatin TN, performing as Johnny Beyond. 2024 - I continue to manage Nightly Spirits Tours and perform ghoststories and magic nightly. 2024 - My podcast and social media brand Back of the Cereal Box is ranked in the Top 10% of podcasts globally and presents The Super Saturday Matinee for live events and venues across the South... All of what I do today I do using the techniques I teach in Theatrical Magic. But you already knew that. |
