I’m trying to find the originator of an effect that I’ve seen performed a couple of times on TV by two different magicians.

In the presentation, the magician invites a spectator to hold a cup of coke on top of her head and the performer does the same.
The performer asks the spectator to repeat several moves and while the she is distracted, the performer drinks the coke from his cup (the performer’s cup.) The spectator is then instructed to hold her cup above her head and turn it over just as the performer does with his cup and to everyone’s surprise; the spectator is not drenched in coke.
I know the secret of the effect, but I’d like to know if this has been published or who is the creator.
I greatly appreciate any information anyone can provide.

The routine is published in the "SLUSH!"booklet (Pub. by Fun, Inc./ Gabe Fajuri & Patrick Page).

They call the routine: "Follow The Leader".

No credit or originator is named.

The routine is NOT in the Slush book. The routine you speak of is a creation of John Cassidy and he is rather LIVID that certain "celebrity magicians" are doing his bit.
